An ideal base for a family holiday

Formerly part of the Hutton Court Estate, dating back to the Domesday Book, these holiday properties (refs 15656 & 16608) are set in an AONB near to the owner’s home on the edge of the village. There are lovely rural views with woodland walks and wildlife, and both properties are only 3 miles from the nearest beach at Weston-super-Mare. The Old Dairy (15656) is a semi-detached property with a hot tub, jacuzzi bath and shower room with rainfall shower and massage jets, and a garden ideal for children, whilst Cider Barn (16608) enjoys its own built-in wine chiller.
Furnished, decorated and equipped to a very good standard and cleaned using only environmentally friendly products they are an ideal base, with attractions including family entertainment at Weston-super-Mare and Brean, Wookey Hole, Cheddar with its famous caves and gorge, the beautiful cathedral city of Wells, Glastonbury and Bath. There is DIY livery available (3-4 nights £50 per horse, or 7 nights £100 per horse), which includes a lockable yard for your horse bow, grazing and haylage. The owners can also arrange belly dancing classes, Lebanese cookery lessons and beauty treatments for an extra charge. Golf nearby. Shop and pub 300 yards.

Excellent accomodation, Sharon the manager was very accomodating and explained everything really well. The cleanliness of the property was first class and in a nice area of Somerset. I would recommend staying in this property and was perfect for a 40th birthday celebration.

Stunning! we all absolutely loved it , the Manager Sharon was soo good and very friendly , showed us around showing us where everything was and how it all worked, nothing was too much trouble. The property itself was spotless and had everything you could want/need. It is a lovely private situation with plenty of private parking. we will definitely be returning.

What a great little find. Perfectly quite, lots of space, beautiful setting and a fabulous host. We arrived to find coffee, tea and milk ready to use, the hot tub was hot and the whole place was spotlessly clean. It was gorgeously hot over the weekend so we spent lots of time in the shade of the trees in the garden, dipping in and out of the hot tub - so relaxing. The Old Inn down the road provided the best carvery in Sunday and Sharon even let us check out a bit late so we could make the most of our weekend.

We came here for my sisters hen do, a low-key celebration with friends. The cottage is designed to be social in a group setting and was perfect! The roads nearby are a little narrow and terrifying, but the location is idyllic and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Sharon the manager was absolutely wonderful and it was clear she cares about the cottages and their history. Would definitely revisit again! Thank you for helping to make my sisters hen do so special! x

We were welcomed with a homemade cake, tea, coffee and lots of cleaning essentials which in fact we forgot! Beds were so comfy and showers were clean and hot. Sharon is a lovely helpful lady, I Would definitely go back again, absolutely fantastic place to stay.

Lovely cottage, very spacious and totally dog safe garden. The hot tub was a bonus. Very peaceful location despite the farm next door and only a 5 minute drive into Weston Super Mare.

This cottage was a brilliant place to meet up for our family gathering. It is very comfortable and warm (we stayed in January) with a cosy living room set up for evenings. The kitchen is really well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. We had a warm welcome and it was lovely that dogs were so well catered for. There was a cake for us to enjoy with a cup of tea (also provided with milk) and flowers on the table so good finishing touches. There is lots of storage for your things making it homely. There are lots of bathroom facilities which is great for a larger family group. My only slight criticism is that the hot tub wasn't warm enough for us to go in at all on the Friday of arrival (even later on into the evening which was a shame) and because it was emptied again by 7.30am on our day of departure it felt like we had been a little short changed on hot tub - this is just a small thing as I appreciate the hot tub has to be cleaned and the rest of the stay was just how we wanted it and we would definitely stay again. Thank you.

We were a group of 12 and we loved staying at the cottage. It definitely looks better than the photos portray. Loved all the bathrooms and the bedrooms upstairs were really spacious and lovely. The children absolutely loved it and had plenty of space to play upstairs and outside. The hot tub was lovely and really nice to unwind in at the end of the day. Added touches of the cider cake and a bottle of Apple wine (as we were celebrating my husband’s 40th) were a lovely gesture too. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. My only comment would be that cooking for 12 would have been easier with a larger oven/hob. The location was great and close to shops, cafe’s, pubs and the beach. We visited the helicopter museum only 5 minute drive away too and the children loved it. We will definitely look to book again.
