Although it is tiny, we found the Old Chapel to be well appointed and comfortable. The wood-burning stove was especially useful in December/January, and it worked very well. It was easy to light and lots of logs were supplied free of charge. The location is very rural indeed. This suited us - just what we wanted - but there is not way to approach Cleestanton other than via very narrow roads. There was very little traffic on them when we visited, but I can imagine that if anyone is poor at reversing their vehicle (and some people are) then I imagine that the roads approaching the Old Chapel will present something of a challenge!

I will admit to being concerned after reading a previous review, so it was with a certain amount of trepidation that we crossed the threshold of The Old Chapel. The garden was enclosed and lovely with plenty garden furniture and our medium sized dog was not able to escape. The furniture was not old, the property has been renovated to a good standard. Admittedly the lanes to the property are single track with passing places but if you take the second access road only 3/4 of a mile and we never had any problems. The lovely market town of Ludlow was about 5 miles away and we ate there in a different dog friendly pub every night. My one criticism would be that the property specifically the bedrooms did smell damp, the property had been unoccupied the week before so maybe hadn’t been aired sufficiently? All in all a nice property proving these reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt!

Lovely, well designed house in a beautiful location. Close to a group of other houses but still very quiet and private. Very clean with good size rooms and smart bathrooms. Make sure you either bring food or are prepared to go out to Ludlow on day of arrival, which is close by. We took our dog Rosa. The house was very good for dogs. The garden has a fence all around, but if you have a dog which likes to explore be aware there are some gaps that they could get through. I am happy to recommend this house.
