There is a host of lovely eateries specialising in Pembrokeshire produce and some locally brewed ales to sample, along with gift shops and cafés all within walking distance. Nearby, the bustling coastal resort of Tenby is well worth a visit and is scattered with numerous cafés, eclectic gift shops and highly acclaimed restaurants. Wander the narrow streets and visit the resort’s award-winning Harbour Beach, voted Europe’s number 1 beach due to its sheltered bay and clear waters and there are many beautiful award winning sandy beaches including Barafundle and Fresh West. . Take a boat trip ride from the tranquil harbour to the offshore island of Caldey and visit the Celtic Monastery and Cistercian Monks who have made it a holy island for hundreds of years.
The coastal path runs inland to Pembroke town along Pembroke river and to the castle mill pond and passes within 300 yards of the properties. Away from the coast, Pembrokeshire’s rolling countryside is just as promising and is dotted with numerous majestic sites waiting to be explored including Carew, Manorbier and Pembroke Castles, as well as the magnificent 12th-century cathedral and ruins of Bishops Palace, tucked away peacefully towards the north of the county at Britain’s smallest city of St Davids.
