This semi-detached barn conversion provides great accommodation for guests looking for something special in the heart of North Norfolk.

Set on the outskirts of the popular seaside village of Walcott, famous with the locals for fantastic fish and chips and great sea views, this semi-detached barn conversion, adjacent to the owners’ home, provides great accommodation for guests looking for something special in the heart of North Norfolk. The coast is littered with popular seaside towns and villages such as Mundesley, Cromer, East and West Runton and Sheringham, which boast a good mix of sand and pebble beaches, along with a variety of coastal attractions. Visit Cromer and dine on famous Cromer crabs, play in the amusement arcades and potter in the selection of shops and cafés or head to the famous End of Pier Show, the cinema or Amazonia Zoo. The bustling market town of Sheringham offers more seaside fun and Happisburgh, with its famous lighthouse and lighthouse museum, is also close by. This is also a perfect base for the Norfolk Broads, where you can take boat trips or even hire a day boat yourself. A little further afield, but offering a vast choice of entertainment options, Great Yarmouth is worth a day trip, as is the medieval city of Norwich, with its Norman castle, numerous museums, fabulous shopping, great restaurants and bustling market. There are also great cycle routes, beautiful and bracing walks, fantastic stately homes and bid watching opportunities close by. For those travelling with their furry friends, a large dog crate is available on request. Beach ½ mile. Shop 1 mile, pub 350 yards and restaurant ½ mile.

A lovely, very spacious cottage equipped with everything you could possibly need. We found it to be clean and tidy. Dogs are made welcome and access to the shared paddock is very handy, though not secure enough for them to be off lead if you own escape artists as we do. The front door is very low however, the patio doors could be used instead so we didn't find it a problem. Well situated but it is on a main road so be aware there is road noise, again it did not bother us too much. Overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Tired property with very low entrence there was No mind your head sign. I hit my head twice causing damage, road. noise Very high, cobweds everywhere, lighting poor very difficult for my 90 year old mother who with us. Beds very lumpy in twin bedroom.

The accommodation is large and spacious with a very good sized kitchen and bathroom. However our stay was overshadowed with the barn being next to the road and the noise from passing traffic was intrusive. Both the double bedrooms have mould on the wall/ceiling and the mattress in the bedroom nearest the lounge was in need of replacement. The shower cubicle had a large amount of mould round the base. Finally we felt the barn had a musty smell

Great holiday place and the owners very friendly and helpful. Court yard ideal for dogs, though the fields are not suitable to let the dogs off lead. Bed mattresses uncomfortable and would benefit from being replaced. Shower unit was covered in mould.

We had a super time at the Old Barn. It is very well appointed and very comfortable. We would highly recommend a stay here.

The WiFi did not connect at all, I would of liked a washing line and pegs instead of having to use a tumble drier. The beds were small as only doubles, and you need to go everywhere in a car. On the plus side, nice layout and spacious, good kitchen and large bathroom if a little tired.

It was a spacious and comfortable cottage but I didn't realise it was close to a main road, the constant traffic noise kept me awake. The paddock was good for the dogs to exercise in, but there weren't any local walks from the cottage that I felt were safe because of the busy road.
