The Old Barn was spacious with a very comfortable bed, lovely wood burner and a heater in the bathroom. Parking at the rear of the property was preferable to the yard at the front, although a path to the rear door would have been good. Martin the owner was friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Lots of interesting places to visit locally including Bath and Bristol, NT properties and the seaside.

On arrival we were shocked by the appearance of the parking area,a wheel and tyre in one corner,6 waste bins in another 3 of which were broken 2 empty concrete flower pots and weeds and leaves everywhere. The living space was o.k. The kitchen was short of utensils ( no scissors or tongs ).The counter top freezer (on the floor) had been turned off and had defrosted over the floor and the sink mixer tap leaked badly. The bedroom had a single mattress made up as a bed on the floor WHY ? making it very difficult to access the bed on one side.Diningroom chair as a bedside table .The bathroom had no shelves or hooks for toothbrushes, towels, shampoo, robes etc. The window blind did not work.Rear garden scruffy, covered in rotten apples unusable.

Overall nice place, very noisy road and garden could have been a bit tidier for the dog

Lovely owners very friendly and helpful. Cottage comfortable. There is however a road next to the property which can disturb sleep if a light sleeper. The lights from the cars light up the room. Very pet friendly and owner let's you use a field to walk dogs. I would definitely stay again but next time take an eye mask!
