This accommodation is great for family get togethers and in a very quiet locality but if anyone has mobility problems this is a no no as the dining room access has 3 flights of stairs and the kitchen has 4. Parking is limited and not immediately adjacent to the property. Avoid parking under the trees unless you love cleaning your car. although this review may seem negative I appreciate that if the number of rooms are required, compromise is necessary.

A really interesting property with some great communal spaces but greatly lacking in terms of maintenance and cleanliness, problems with damp.

On the plus side, the Old Baptist Chapel has lots of space and character. The kitchen is well equipped and everything was clean. It was a good base for our large family to visit the Peak District and we all enjoyed ourselves. On the down side, it is in need of maintenance and refurbishment. The decor and furnishings are shabby. All of the showers in the building are terrible and the beds are uncomfortable. There is no on-site parking and you would need 5 very small cars to fit where they suggest you park, we put 2 there and the neighbours had obviously had problems before. We would not stay here again and it's a shame as the building has loads of potential but needs a lot of TLC.
