We enjoyed our stay in a lovely cottage which was clean and well equipped, also had some extra welcome touches. It had such character and we felt very comfortable there. The cottage was in a good location in Wendover which was a nice village. Had a great time exploring the area so a very memorable week.

Beautifully modernised 19th century cottage, very tastefully kitted out with all mod cons. Wendover is very charming, though hardly traffic-free, and the Chilterns are absolutely beautiful & a walker's paradise (at least until HS2 arrives). The cottage wouldn't suit the less able-bodied, with bedroom & bathroom on different levels, necessitating a somewhat hazardous night-time visit to the loo. The walls are thin, so it's possible to hear the next-door neighbours thundering up and down the stairs, not to mention two disagreeably yappy dogs. The "welcome pack" is a pint of milk, although the (overpriced) Tesco Express is 100 yards down the road. Although there are clear disadvantages, as above, the accommodation is of impressive quality overall.

Had a great stay at the Old Bakery, location wise this was just perfect for us. A short drive to Windsor and great transport links to London. The road outside the property was a bit busier than expected but this would not put us off staying here again./

We had a very warm welcome from the host, the cottage was very comfortable with all the equipment that we required. Situated in a beautiful village with a decent bus service that suited our needs as we don't like to use the car after we arrive. There were several scenic walks from the doorstep and the city of Oxford was well worth a visit.

We came for a few days walking in March. Unfortunately it rained nearly all the time but we did walk every day - along the canal, up Coombe Hill and near Great Missenden. The best bit was finishing up at Rumsey’s chocolate café every day!

The cottage was very clean and very well equipped. My husband has difficulty with stairs where there is no handrail and the main staircase has no handrail on the top section. As the bathroom is downstairs going downstairs in the night was a problem. There are a number of steps within the house too. If you have no mobility problems and you don't mind a downstairs bathroom then this cottage is ideal.
