Very well equipped cottage but a little remote. Eight miles to a little shop for a pint of milk. Owners very welcoming and helpful.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; In response to your comment regarding the nearest shop, there is a garage with a shop just 3.8 miles north of The Nook Purdy Lodge which sells milk, bread and a wide range of other provisions. In addition there is a Co-op at Belford which is 6.8 miles away. We do provide a small carton of milk, tea bags. coffee, sugar and either cake or biscuits for your arrival.

A pleasant cottage with first class interior, clean and well presented, with a welcome pack including fresh flowers and cake! External seating area was not private and surrounded by other buildings on a fairly cramped site.

A very clean and beautiful ly equipped cottage spoiled by every window was overlooked by close cottages. Not one window could you look out of.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are glad that you appreciated how clean and well equipped our beautiful stone cottage is and sincerely hope that you enjoyed the stunning coastline and the many places of interest that are conveniently located within a short drive from The Nook. The cottage is in the middle of a converted farmstead with a small number of other properties and is a very reasonable distance from other buildings on site the majority are up to 27 metres away. The Nook has 3 small windows with wooden blinds which can be tilted if more privacy is required, should you feel the need. The remaining windows comprise of 2 double patio doors, once of which leads out onto the parking area and the other leads onto the patio which is clearly shown on the photographs of The Nook. Whilst we appreciate and accept that it is a matter of personal opinion, we are nevertheless surprised at your comment stating not one window can you look out of which is actually not the case as you can look out of all windows. We have several guests who have been holidaying at The Nook for many years and the reason they return is that they love both the cottage and its location.
