The Maltings is a traditional stone-built property that has been created from a former barn to Pitlessie House and dates back to the 1720s.
The house is spacious and light with a large family dining kitchen, a living room, and a sitting room with vaulted ceilings. The house contains a range of original features. With double doors off the dining kitchen, opening onto the south-facing private garden with timber decking and a lawn, this is the perfect holiday home for large groups of friends and family gatherings. The living room downstairs has an impressive double-height ceiling with a mezzanine leading off to an en-suite bedroom, a further double bedroom with an en-suite is located on the lower level off the living room. The sitting room upstairs also has a full-height vaulted ceiling with a gas stove and multiple roof and side windows allowing natural light to flood in. The master bedroom is located off the first floor sitting room and has a dressing room with an en-suite bathroom. There is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with a ‘Jack and Jill’ shower room located on the ground floor. The house is set in a private courtyard shared with Pitlessie House, with parking for multiple cars.
The Maltings is situated on the edge of the charming village of Pitlessie, approximately four miles to the southwest of the Fife market town of Cupar. Pitlessie has a thriving village pub, which is well known locally for its excellent food and friendly service. Cupar has a range of supermarkets and specialist shops as well as a number of pubs, cafes, and restaurants. From Pitlessie it’s easy to get to the cities of Edinburgh, Perth, and Dundee - all are within a comfortable 45-minute drive. Pitlessie is directly connected by Express Coach to Edinburgh, Dundee, St Andrews, and Glasgow. The nearest railway stations are Ladybank and Cupar, both on the East Coast mainline.
