Location was brilliant for the places we wanted to visit. Only downsides were 1. Shower...too small. Like showrting in a telephine boc but even smaller. 2. Laclk of oven and grill. Microwave worked as a small oven but as had no exprrience of this type of cooking was a bit afraid I was poisioning us. Other than that it was msrvellous.

Fine except for noisy builders next door. The bathroom mirror is too high.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Despite “noisy builders “ next door to our Lodge we were pleased the review marked us 9/10 so thank you! For around 2 weeks a neighbours extension required deep foundations to be excavated/ piled . This is now complete we are pleased to report and remaining work is more straightforward, with any noise minimal and during restricted hours, and completion close . The Lodge has a new patio, integrated hob and new heated towel rail and we look forward to welcoming new guests.

Delightful little Lodge ideally located for exploring both Hampshire and Wiltshire. Well equipped and would have been very peaceful if it were not for the building work going on in the next property but the builders stopped around 5 o'clock so evenings were peaceful. I will definitely book again for next year and continue exploring the area.

Me and my partner had our first holiday here, a lovely 2 week break in this beautiful lodge. It was clean, tidy and warm with easy local access to shops, local pubs and other services located in the local town of Romsey, and of course the beautiful new forest right on the doorstep, the seaside also being only around 20 miles away. We received a warm welcoming letter on arrival, and the owners were polite, helpful and friendly. Am looking forward to spending more time in this beautiful idyllic place in hopefully the near future. Highly recommended, and great value for money.

Warm and welcoming, a beautiful little lodge. We absolutely loved staying here for my birthday. The owner was very friendly and gave great information on what was in the area. There’s a lovely pub and and a small supermarket just a little walk away about 10 mins, and your only a short drive away from the local village and New Forest attractions. The forest itself is just at the top of the road and great for exploring, if you go in the winter be sure to check the time of sundown as t gets really dark. We would definitely come here again to this cosy little getaway 😊

Idyllic! Two minor negatives 1-mattress needs replacing 2-TV signal not the best Other than that we were delighted with the accommodation and location. A nice walk to the pub each evening.

The Lodge was a comfortable cottage and ideal for a couple. It had everything you would need for a short break, perhaps it would benefit from a conventional cooker although we did work around this and used the rather swish microwave with all it's bells and whistles! The cottage was situated perfectly for visiting the New Forest area including the many lovely towns and cities. The owners left a welcome tray of tea and coffee and a nice touch with flowers.

Myself and my partner stayed here from Monday to Friday as a week away from our London lives. This was a perfect get away. The lodge is a good size for 2 people, but feels so homely and welcoming. I looked forward coming home to it every day. I can't wait to go back.
