This delightful holiday home is set in the grounds of the owner’s home, Bainesbury House, and has been furnished to a very good standard. It is also very close to the famous Babington House only 3 miles away. The heritage city of Bath is only a short distance away with its Roman Baths and pump rooms and the award-winning Thermae Bath Spa. A great place to stay, half an hour from Bath. We enjoyed trips to the city, but also an opportunity to visit the Somerset Levels, Glastonbury Tor and Wells Cathedral. The Lodge is a luxurious , well-equipped base with a warm welcome.

My wife and I spent a lovely cosy and relaxing Christmas at The Lodge. We ate on three occasions at the close by Kings Arms (5 minutes walk) where the welcome and the food were both excellent. The Lodge is well placed for visits to Bath, Wells,Midsomer Norton etc. The Lodge has south facing bifold doors and I imagine it must be wonderful in the summer to open these and let the sunshine in.

Clive was very welcoming when we arrived. The lodge was very clean, well equipped and beautifully furnished. The garden is enclosed and was very safe for our puppy who loved the huge lawn. We got a few bits and bobs as a welcome gift which was a nice touch. There are lots of walks and dog friendly pubs near by, Glastonbury is also close. Great place to stay!

Have stayed in a few cottages now but this time spent a little more and have to say The Lodge was well worth it. Very comfortable, clean and kitted out to an exceptionally high standard, everything you could wish for was to hand. The weather was not great and it would be have been nice to have fully opened the patio doors which opens up the entire living area to the elements. Availability of Netflix was a great bonus for us as enjoy movies. Welcome pack was a nice touch and Clive was very helpful regarding what was available in the surrounding area. Overall wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Lodge.

We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at this immaculate Lodge. The attention to detail, hospitality of the hosts and thoughtful welcome pack were very much appreciated. There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area and we had lots of wonderful, long walks with our dog in the countryside.

On arrival Clive asked us to "make ourselves at home" and home it was for the week we stayed at the Lodge. Peaceful, relaxing, wonderful. Clive was extremely helpful and available without being intrusive. Walking distance to the impressive Downside Abbey and to bus services to Bath and Wells. We would highly recommend the Lodge.
