Description

Nestling in the stunning Cornish countryside, this pretty holiday home is ideal for touring this delightful area.

This pretty little cottage sits in well tended gardens, deep in the Cornish countryside and provides an ideal base while visiting many areas of Cornwall. Although nearer the tranquil south coast, the dramatic north coast, with its excellent surfing beaches, is easily reached. The Little House is just yards from the ‘Mineral Tramways Trail’, one of Cornwall’s many cycle networks that links the north coast at Portreath to the South coast near Falmouth. It is popular with walkers, cyclists, horse riders and sightseers as it passes through a rich mining heritage area, dotted with old mine archaeology. A cycle hire centre, café and shop are approximately 500 yards from the front door, right on the trail itself. The world famous Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Lizard Peninsula, which is the location of Lizard Point and the most southerly point of the country, are all easily accessible from the property. The ancient seafaring town of Falmouth is approx 6 miles away, and provides an excellent centre for many activities such as sailing, windsurfing, pleasure trips and diving. Other amenities available locally are fine sandy beaches, shopping, cinema, restaurants and Pendennis Castle, perched high on Pendennis Point. Falmouth is also home to the National Maritime Museum, two yacht marinas and numerous National Trust gardens. A ferry to the Roseland Peninsula and a sightseeing trip along the River Fal to Truro are also available from one of the town quays. Truro is the capital city of Cornwall and less than 5 miles away, with excellent shopping in the cobbled streets, fine dining in its many restaurants, bistros and cafés, a theatre and museum. Beach 6 miles. Shop, cinema, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.

All on ground floor: Living room with French doors and sofa bed (for alternative sleeping)/dining room. Kitchen with tiled floor. Sun room. 1 double bedroom. Shower room with toilet.

Electric central heating (underfloor in shower room, £25 November-March), electricity, bed linen and towels included. 32" Freesat smart TV. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi. Large lawned garden with patio, sitting-out area and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). Welcome pack. No smoking. NB: 3 steps and unfenced stream in garden.

A great break in a relaxing environment in a very well equipped and homely holiday cottage. It is a great location for getting away from everything but still close enough to get to many of the popular places to visit if you want to. The cottage is fantastic and has everything you may need for a relaxing stay and is situated in a very quiet and peaceful location.

An outatanding cottage in an outstanding location. A warm welcome from the owners and helpful tour of the cottage and provision of all the essentials to start off our week. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage and in the surrounding area, we found it an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Little House. We had a very warm welcome from Terri and Peter when we arrived. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard and has everything that you need for a great stay. We loved sitting and reading in the conservatory whilst listening to the birds or watching rabbits jumping in the beautiful gardens that the cottage is in. The location was perfect for us to drive to different places for coastal walks. We also walked from the cottage along the local mining trails. A wonderful stay.

unfortunately our trip was delayed by a day because of the snow but everything was perfect when we finally arrived. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, the cottage very comfortable in a lovely tranquil setting.

Professionally presented; design and layout could not be bettered. For those who it may matter, the mobile signal begins about a mile away and the WiFi is weak. Most will not find those elements of concern given the splendid accommodation and strategic situation in the county.
