Ideal location for pubs and restaurants in Penzance also adjacent to bus and rail stations. Really friendly cat visits for breakfast.

Central location. Very clean. Very happy. Only fault is a condensation problem in the kitchen extension.

The Little Blue House is excellently located for walking the coast-path of southwest Cornwall - with the aid of good bus services we covered Porthleven via Lands End to Portreath in 2 weeks (the weather was very dry for October!). We have no car so we also found the proximity to the rail and bus stations excellent. Traffic on Mount Street was occasionally noisy but not usually too bad. The cottage isn't in very good repair in places - the downstairs WC overflows to the back yard and this may be leading to damp. Some of the wallpaper in the hall and living room has bubbled, suggesting damp, but this wasn't a problem that affected us. The back gate has fallen/subsided so the bolt/latch doesn't line up with its fitting on the frame. Window mechanism in small front room gave a loud cracking noise when fully opening - maybe the hinges need oiling - but it worked OK and nothing is broken. However most of the equipment we used was in good shape: very good fridge-freezer, gas hob, microwave (though this skidded around a bit on the counter!), bath, shower, heated towel rail, and bidet to wash tired feet! A useful addition in the kitchen could be a small battery-powered digital scale for weighing food. The broadband was very good after successful communication with the owner of the cottage. We were well entertained by a friendly young cat which came into the back yard morning and evening and we had to watch out otherwise she would be in the kitchen! In all we had a very good holiday.
