Description

Just one hour from Dublin, this beautifully converted mill stands on 300 acres of farmland overlooking the river

Just one hour from Dublin, this beautifully converted mill stands on 300 acres of farmland overlooking the river. Four delightful cottages have been created, two of which are offered here. Set in a courtyard, they are spacious, airy and well equipped, each with a wood-burning stove, lending them a cosy atmosphere. This is an ideal rural location (no bus service) to get away from it all, with fishing and long country walks on the doorstep. There are plenty of activities to enjoy locally, including horse riding, an 18-hole golf course at Ardee, and horse racing at Fairyhouse, while Meath’s fine sandy beaches offer good swimming and windsurfing. The Neolithic sites of Newgrange and Lough Crew are also within easy reach.

Approximate distance to Dublin Airport is 69 km.

This is one of the nicest holiday houses we have ever stayed in. The smallest touches really counted.. we had a proper butter dish so we could buy and enjoy superb Irish butter. There were enough tea towels (sometimes you dont even get one) and even aprons... I’ve never seen an apron in a holiday house before..what a lovely touch.

Only 1 bathroom. Cupboard downstairs maybe turn into closet room? Best moment-watching over a 1,000 rooks late Sat pm flying overhead. Incredible sight.

The Kilns was a super place to stay for the whole family. It was a great base and was like a home from home.
