This has been one of the most perfect locations that we have been too. The peace and lovely setting in the countryside with lovely views to the Pendel was superb.

I loved my weekend here. It felt in the middle of nowhere but was a few mins walk from a lovely food pub. Great walks from the door my boxer dog loved it. Great field in front for ball play. We had tiny problem that the owner sorted straight away. Not the poshest place I have ever rented , but actually I felt I had a very relaxed weekend. It's very compact but all you need is there. We had brilliant weather whilst there. It feels in the middle of nowhere great views yet so near clithereo for forgotten items.

We had a lovely weekend at this charming cottage. Stands alone and you just let yourself in, no fuss, brilliant. TV in two rooms, very comfy bed and nice outlook, this cottage is in a picturesque hamlet, where one can feel the history. We did expect to see a bit more wildlife, there weren't many birds, no rabbits, not much life around, perhaps because it's a farming area; sad really. Just a few minutes away is a garage with a good shop for all the essentials and a couple of take away restaurants. Nice walks, great to visit Clitheroe again, it's been a while. Yes, we had a good time and would visit again.

The Keep was warm and friendly. The owner had thought about the needs of dog owners. The bathroom was a bit basic, but the shower was good. The underfloor heating was lovely and the living room with the wood burner was cosy. The beds were comfy. The views were great. (I did wonder beforehand if the ski slope would be an eyesore, but it wasn't.) The local pub was welcoming, and served good beer, but didn't let dogs in, despite being described as 'dog friendly' in the latest Good Beer Guide. We had a very relaxing time, and would recommend The Keep to anyone thinking of staying there.
