Nice little place next to the pub, with everything you need. Small kitchen but dining space in lounge. Only one bathroom but great shower. Pub will bring over food and excellent pub grub. Very friendly helpful owners. Sadly we had to leave early due to family illness ( not us, but relative) Good place

Comfort would have been a 10 except the double bed is really hard. My wife and I both woke up with stiff backs. Also, the WIFI just doesn't work. They piggy-back off the pub but need a WiFi signal booster (£30 from Currys, if you read this) so that the signal is strong enough to be picked up. This makes this location useless for anyone, like me, who wants to get an hour of work in before heading into the hills. The location is easy to find and to get to, but it's quite close to the road (about 20-30m from the road itself, which is limited to 30 mph). To be fair, it wasn't really a problem, but you can hear the cars whizzing by from the main bedroom. Having said that, you're right at the foot of the hills - simply wonderful location from that point of view. Having said that, the accommodation itself is absolutely marvelous. It's spacious, beautifully maintained and the basket of fruit was such a lovely touch. Sort out that hard bed and the WiFi and it would all 10s (apart from location).

Been going back every year for 5 years so can't be too bad, can it? Double bed a bit too firm for my liking, but otherwise a well furnished and comfortable place to stay with stunning views of the Ochil hills to wake up to. Excellent base to see Central and Eastern Scotland, with the added benefit of an excellent restaurant and bar just next door. Park up, eat, drink and enjoy the ambience. Friendly locals as well as fellow travellers to talk to.
