Although the cottage was in a great area I would not recommend it others. The kitchen was not clean, it had a greasy dust on top of surfaces not in a high use area. The crockery we used we washed before hand and never put them back into the cupboard until we left. It seemed like 'any old stuff' would do for the guests to use. After seeing the photos of the cottage I was looking forward to the visit but on arrival was very disappointed. I was not expecting matting throughout the lounge, bedroom and dressing area, and the ornaments, furniture and curtain needed a dust. As for the 'curtain' at the bedroom window it was no more than a thread bare piece of material. If it hadn't been for the fact the stay was part of a longer holiday already organised I think we would have left sooner.

It was the fourth time that we spent our hollidays there and we will do it again and again, if possible. We like this rural place, the cosy and tasty furnished cottage, the pool,...…..

The cottage is quirky, cosy and instantly felt like home. We found everything there that we needed and loved the plants, books and interesting objects that made the lodge feel "lived in ". We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere quiet to escape to.

An enchanting cottage in a beautiful and very peaceful location. The owner’s garden is well worth a stroll. The traditional decor is lovely although the sofa is shabby and some of the old furniture needs attention in terms of repair and some polish. The kitchen was fine but I washed all the crockery and cutlery we used before use. Some of the pots etc need a good clean which is why I did little cooking during our week there. The fact that there is no shower is a problem with the cottage. This cottage has real potential but is in need of some attention and a thorough clean. The property offers a swimming pool but it was not in a fit state (probably fair enough as it was March).
