Ideal for our family weekend. Plenty of space to cook and eat together. Enjoyed the log fires. Beautiful views across the grounds. Games room popular with the younger members of the family

It's a great place - we've been twice now. 4 families, each with kids, for a week away, there’s lots of space so we're not falling over the kids, and sometimes we don't see the kids for hours. Great eating space too. You'd be surprised but there aren't many places like this around with this much space and this many reception rooms.

It was ideal for our large group to celebrate our 80th birthday. The gas hob was challenging and kept going out so we used 3 rings, when cooking for 17 adults it is challenging enough.

Great place to stay with a big party, plenty of room and space. However, with three Fire Fighters in our party there was a significant concern about the lack of working smoke alarms and also there was no evidence of PAT testing on the electrical appliances.

Where do I start, I booked this house to meet up with my 4 uni friends, their partners and children. We had a fantastic time. As soon as you enter, the drive up to the house is very impressive and the pictures do not do it justice. The house was massive, plenty of space that you did not feel you were in each other’s way/space. Plenty of seating around the dining table so we could all eat together and plenty of seating in the lounge so the adults could have a drink together while the children were in bed. Kitchen was a great size and well equipped for big groups. The games room was outstanding and such a luxury to have - the men definitely had fun in there playing on the pool table, snooker table, table tennis table and darts board. Because we had children we drove to Markeaton Park on the Saturday which was only 20/25mins away. We found the location perfect, nice and quiet but only a little drive away from shops, pubs and parks. We loved this place that much that we are booking again for next year.

A family holiday was enjoyed by all. The bedrooms worked well with each family having rooms together. 3 bathrooms was perfect for us all and with 3 lounges we had space to spread out or sit together. The children enjoyed playing in the garden with the balls that were provided. We could walk along the canal in both directions and visit Drayton Manor and Gulliver's kingdom easily. Other attractions were also in very easy driving distances. The nearest supermarket was just 2 miles away.
