The Hayloft is part of a newly converted barn located in Bryngwyn, near Raglan. The main living area is light and airy, double height and open plan. It has underfloor heating, exposed stone walls and a wood burner. There is a Smart TV with DVD player and Netflix/Disney. To the mezzanine floor (accessed via very steep stairs), there is a king size bedroom with zip and link beds (can be turned into twin beds). There is an enclosed garden to the front of the property with patio, garden furniture and a bike rack. This is the perfect property for wanting to explore the area whether it be on foot or by bicycle.
Wales is well known for having the most castles in Europe per square mile. One of the best preserved is Raglan Castle which is just under 3 miles away. The Forest of Dean, which is a short drive from The Hayloft, offers all sorts of sporting opportunities including mountain biking with bike hire, pony trekking, sculpture walks, steam railways and enchanted forests. The Big Pit in Blaenavon is a favourite with families and the hidden garden of Dewstow is a must. For those looking to explore the countryside the views from the Blorenge, The Skirrid and the Sugarloaf are amazing and all within a short drive. The Brecon Beacons and the fabulous Black Mountains are also within an easy daytrip, all are fantastic for walking/trekking and cycling. Monmouthshire is very centrally located with Cardiff, Newport, Bristol, Abergavenny, Gloucester, Hereford, Hay-on-Wye, Monmouth and Chepstow all within easy reach.
The beautiful and picturesque Wye Valley is under half an hour away and this is a super place to hire canoes and travel leisurely down the river, or walking/cycling the path along the river. At the Hayloft you can grab a coffee outside on the patio first thing in the morning or last thing at night watching the sun go down. The dark skies are also perfect for star gazing.
The Hayloft (UK40092) can be booked together with The Stables (UK40093) to accommodate up to 6 guests.
