The Higher Trewithen Holiday Cottages
is an eco-conscious complex of 7 properties, located on an early medieval farmstead set in 4 acres of gardens, pastures and woodlands. The Nook (UK36881) and The Cottage (UK36885) are both restored one-bedroom ground floor apartments. The Stable (UK36897) and The Dairy (UK36898) are both restored, two-bedroom, out buildings which are on two levels, and Weavers (UK36886) is a restored two-bedroom first floor apartment which has access via a short external staircase to the entrance. The Barn (UK36902) is a three-bedroom cottage with its own garden.
These properties offer a fantastic base to explore Cornwall and the surrounding area, where there is something for everyone, from stunning beaches and coves to water sport activities, gardens, and beautiful walks. Just 2 miles away is Kennal Vale Nature Reserve, once the home of the Kennal Vale gunpowder factory, now it is a haven for wildlife species and native plants and trees.
Stihians Lake has a 5-mile circular walk which is popular and also offers water sports like wind surfing due to its unique windy conditions. Fishing for trout in the well-stocked lake is also available with expert tuition and equipment available if needed. After a busy day why not relax and enjoy refreshments at the café while taking in the views.
The beautiful city of Truro is a must to visit with an abundance of cafés, bars, restaurants and the magnificent Truro Cathedral is well worth a visit.
In the opposite direction, just 12 miles away, you will find the ancient market town of Helston home of the Furry Dance and between there and Stithians you will find Falmouth, home to the deepest harbour, the maritime museum, local shops, bars café and restaurants as well as Gyllygvase and Maenporth Beach. After a jam-packed day return home to the quiet tranquillity of Higher Trewithen Holiday Cottage.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 23 guests.
