This property is part of our Cottages4you collection

In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

With spacious living accommodation, Kittiwake Cottage makes a great family base to discover the beautiful surrounding area.

The Grange Holiday Cottages are a group of barn conversions finished to a very good standard. They are perfect for families or couples who love the great outdoors as there are many fantastic walks along the rugged clifftops. As well as the main farmhouse which adjoins the owners’ home, (ref 30799), there are five other holiday cottages (refs 30794, 30795, 30796, 30797, 30798) - an ideal setting if there are a few of you wanting to get away together. The owners have a successful campsite nearby and have taken great care in providing an alternative type of holiday with the conversion of the barns to superb holiday cottages. Each cottage has a vaulted ceiling giving a sense of space and light, but also has its own individual charm and character. The cottages have a garden area with outside furniture and BBQs. There is plenty of space for the children to play, but you can always find a peaceful retreat where you can sit and read a book. There is also a shared laundry room with a washer/dryer, iron and ironing board available for all properties to use. The Grange is situated in Flamborough on the east coast of Yorkshire. This is a perfect base to visit the east coast and all that what Yorkshire has to offer. Although Flamborough is only a small resort compared to its neighbours, it has everything you need from local shops to restaurants, pubs and good old fish and chip shop. Just along the coast are the RSPB Bempton Cliffs where you can observe puffins and guillemots in their natural habitat. Visitors even come from overseas to see this magnificent display of over 200 thousand seabirds. The famous spa town of Bridlington is just 5 miles away. This is a traditional seaside resort providing a family holiday experience - from donkey rides to crab pools, there is always something to do at Bridlington. The land train travels along the coast up to Sewerby where you can visit the famous Sewerby Hall and Gardens. Stately homes are in abundance with Sledmere, Burton Agnes and Burton Constable. There is the famous Yorkshire Bell boat that takes the tourists along the coast and back again, which children especially enjoy. There is also plenty of nightlife in Bridlington and the famous Spa Theatre provides some excellent shows throughout the year. Along the coast at Scarborough is Stephen Joseph Theatre which is known for its premieres of almost all of Alan Ayckbourn’s plays. It also boasts the largest open air theatre in Europe. The Grange is a great base from which to see the North York Moors, the Wolds and even the city of York is only an hour away. Come and see for yourself what a great place it is. A luggage room is available at your convenience for late departures or early arrivals. Beach 4½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 900 yards.

Had a super long weekend which consisted of me, my husband daughter and dog. The cottage was very spacious and comfy and in lovely grounds which I can see in summer would be great to get some garden furniture out and enjoy the garden from the back. Although we ate out mostly there was plenty of equipment had we wanted to dine in plus extra equipment in the facilities/laundry room. Only comment I would make is the bedrooms did get a little too warm at night but maybe we just didn't adjust the thermostat low enough?! Lovely place and would definitely consider returning.

Had a great stay again at Grange Holidays, different cottage but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Karl and Sue are great hosts and couldn't be more helpful.

First impressions on entering the property is wow, how nice. But after being there for a while the creaking floors get on your nerves. No blind at the front door leaves no privacy whilst in the lounge. No blinds in the bedroom means you awake at dawn with the daylight streaming down on you. The shower base fills up fast so it leaks through the door leaving the bathroom swamped. Having said all the negative stuff I move on to the positive stuff. We were welcomed enthusiastically and warmly, the property has loads of space downstairs and is in a great location for Bempton cliffs. There is an outside seating area which is lovely and quiet. With a small upgrade on a few things this would be the perfect place for a home from home holiday

We liked a lot of things about the cottage- but the owners are totally ignoring repeated feedback from guests- visitors book is full of valid comments that could be rectified easily and cheaply. Quilt on double bed was very dirty with a clean cover on it- cheap to replace. Several similar issues that would prevent us rebooking.

The One Issue Was No Blinds on The Skylights in the bedroom dont want to be picky however when sun streaming through skylights 3 foot above your head at 5am in the morning and you cannot do anything its not on, apart from that excellent

Great place to stay, it’s was like a home from home. Could do with some blinds in the skylights in bedrooms, but didn’t really bother us. Will be booking again very soon.
