Description

This beautiful, spacious barn conversion is set in 50-acre grounds on a quiet sheep farm, with uninterrupted, countryside views from the grounds.

Set in 50 acres of grounds, this detached barn conversion is set on a quiet sheep farm, with lots of wildlife. Walking around the grounds, there are uninterrupted views of the outstanding countryside and wildlife at every turn, it is a perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. The property has been decorated and furnished to a good standard and is situated within the Exmoor National Park. Set in the owner’s grounds, it has a private garden area with fantastic views. Sometimes you are able to see red deer, foxes, badgers and an abundance of resident and migrant birds are often seen. This tranquil setting is an ideal base to explore the delights of this beautiful part of Devon. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead, as this is a working sheep farm. Children are more than welcome to see the lambs at lambing time and take a tour of the farm. It is only a short drive from the towns of Dulverton and Tiverton. Bampton is just 5 miles and offers the ’Bampton Town Trail’ which is a walk that takes you around the town, and introduces you to historic sites and buildings. Lynton & Lynmouth are two adjacent villages with Lynton being a Victorian resort, 600ft above Lynmouth and being linked by a water powered cliff railway. Lynmouth lies at an estuary where the East and West Lyn meet. This is known as "England’s Little Switzerland" offering spectacular coastal and inland walks, being the Valley of the Rocks and the steeply wooded Glen Lyn Gorge, where you are constantly reminded of both the beauty and forces of nature. Whether you are looking for an invigorating walk, horse ride or cycle across the high moors and through wooded valleys, using the excellent path network, or if the gentler comforts of a local cream tea in one of Exmoor’s beautiful villages is more your thing - Exmoor National Park has something for everyone. Shop 5 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Amazing & beautiful cottage that has been converted well & disabled friendly. It was extremely well equipped & very clean with enough room for our family. We knew when booking the cottage was off the beaten track, the views did not disappoint. Loved having the sheep near by the night before they were sheared. Lovely cream tea to arrive to after a long journey. Hosts were welcoming, friendly and left us to enjoy our holiday. We visited a variety of different places both south & north Devon. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay at The Foxes Larder.

Had a fantastic time, the owners were very friendly and helpful. We reported a concern about a smoke alarm and it was checked and fixed by an engineer that day. Beautiful area and lots to do in the area for children.

We were so welcomed by Amanda and Clive and had a wonderful stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved feeding the lambs. The barn was extremely peaceful and set in beautiful surroundings.

Lovely, well-equipped cottage in beautiful surroundings. Amanda and Clive are great hosts and thoroughly spoilt us with a cream tea on arrival and lots of other goodies. They were delightful with our grandchildren, showing them how to bottle-feed the lambs.

A perfect, cosy Christmas retreat, surrounded by the beautiful, snowy Devon hills. We were welcomed by a sparkling Christmas tree and a festive cream tea, complete with Prosecco! The cottage is a clever barn conversion, thoughtfully adapted to accommodate a wheelchair and giving plenty of space for all the family to enjoy.
