Me my partner and son had a lovely 2 weeks at the forge. The heated pool was fantastic, it's only 4ft so it's excellent if you got younger kids. The cows come right up to the fence and there's wild chickens who love scap food. A car is a must as it's in the middle of nowhere. Very relaxing and stunning views, the log fire was used few times as the weather wasn't on our sides. We'll definitely return to the forge.

Wonderful location, though very remote. The pool was great, it’s a shame it isn’t fenced to allow the kids to play in the garden but we were fully aware of this when we booked. Lovely place to be for a holiday and we had a great time in the area.

Beautiful, peaceful and very quiet. The pool was lovely to use and the view from it stunning. The cottage was spacious and comfortable. On an evening wild hares would run round the garden! Would come back.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at the Forge with our 2 children aged 8 and 6. The pool was a wonderful for the children who were in it every day, often several times a day. The property was well equipped and comfortable and the garden was very private with lovely views. The owners were very friendly and helpful - we really felt they wanted us to have a great holiday. The property is in a rural location with lovely walks from the cottage and more lovely countryside all around and we found we could easily drive to everywhere we wanted to visit in 30mins or less (the coast, the cheviot hills, cragside national trust). Also there were good shops/amenities in Alnwick which was only 10mins away. We would definitely like to return to the Forge
