This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. Lovely owner, lovely area (if you like remote and the zombie apocalypse experience), and lovely converted barn. We really enjoyed two nights here. Perfect break with our only regret that we did not stay longer. We will be back in the future to explore the area further. Thank you!

The cottage was in a beautiful location was warm and well equipped. Janet came to welcome us on our arrival and left us to ourselves for our stay but left her number if we needed anything. It was so peaceful in the cottage, just what we needed.

The cottage is well equipped, remote on Alston Moor, with wide ranging views and lovely walks. We found it ideal but it would not suit those looking for shops, pubs or restaurants! Lovely weather and fields of frolicking lambs enhanced our stay! The shower is somewhat cramped and the bedroom would benefit from a mirror and dressing table but otherwise we were happy with everything. The owner lives just down the drive, is pleasant and helpful, and provided many basic commodities in her welcome pack. We would recommend this cottage.

We had the most relaxing weekend break in this cosy, beautifully renovated cottage. The surroundings were so tranquil and our hosts was very friendly and ensured that we knew how to operate the heaters and shower etc. It was very clean with very tasteful decor.
