Pat, Rodney and barney and the best people (and spaniel) you will ever rent a cottage from. Great surroundings and relaxing stay.

The Fernery is a delightful cottage situated in a picturesque Cotswold village. Pat and Rodney are welcoming hosts and provide a well equipped, clean and peaceful holiday home with delightful country walks from the front door. Minchinhampton (a twenty-five minute stroll or five minutes by car) has a village shop, a butchers, cheese shop and The Kitchen - a wonderful café selling homemade meals, cakes and snacks. The nearby Common gives splendid views and a chance to see the free roaming cows. Very relaxing holiday.

Wonderful stay at this lovely cottage situated in the pretty and quiet location of Box. We slept beautifully and enjoyed the spectacle of the arriving badgers and foxes each evening. Box is a superb location, a beautiful Cotswold stone village which is convenient to get to all the numerous South Cotswold attractions. Broadband Wi-fi was handy as in the evening able to watch football matches online on my iPad! Mobile reception (EE) was good. The owners Pat and Rodney are lovely and go out of their way to help but at the same time are unobtrusive. This cottage is unbelievably good value and highly recommended.

Lovely cottage and very friendly owners. Sadly we found the beds pretty uncomfortable. We had bad backache all week. There is no mobile signal and the Internet was hopeless. Bit of a problem as we were house hunting! Otherwise a great cottage and so peaceful.

This is a fantastic place to stay, the cottage is spotlessly clean and comfortable with every amenity provided. The owner's Pat and Rodney are very friendly and helpful and cannot do enough for you, even our two dogs were catered for with doggy treats. The cottage is in a lovely quiet village but centrally placed to visit many Cotswold attractions. An added bonus is watching the visiting wildlife every evening. We spent a thoroughly enjoyable week and would highly recommend 'The Fernery'

Simply delightful both the house and our hosts. A hidden bit of heaven in a tiny village near a very good small town at Nailsworth. The badger feeding was an unexpected treat.....BBC Countryfile right in front of our eyes.... 7 badgers all at one time! Thanks again Pat and Rodney

Pat & Rodney are a very welcoming couple who live in the adjoining house. The cottage is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything that one could possibly need. The visiting wildlife at dusk of squirrels, badgers and fox are a very memorable sight.
