We loved our holiday at The Fauld, however it was very secluded and depending on where you wanted to go it could take anything between 30-40minutes car drive. It is worth mentioning that it’s best if you bring the essentials with you, bread, milk and other food items. Bottled water is a must as the The Fauld’s water source comes from a local spring which isn’t filtered or purified. The fault is modern and comfortable and has a real homely feel. The hot tub is an added bonus and adds to the relaxation of being in the middle of nowhere on a working farm with nature. We didn’t get much of a mobile phone signal or internet signal, so if you prefer to be glued to your mobile phone The Fauld isn’t for you. We had a little difficulty find The Fauld but a quick call or two to Jane quickly rectified that. We would definitely come back, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay but towards the end we missed civilisation.

We really enjoyed this after a stressful year. The location was stunning and absolutely perfect and private! The cottage was gorgeous with everything that could be needed and the icing was the hot tub which was enjoyed au naturel lots of times! It was beautifully situated just outside the back door and easy to enjoy any hour of the day or night. The location is great for Hadrian's Wall which was a nostalgic return after 15 years and very special for me after completing an MA in Classical Studies. We also incursioned into the Lake District and Scotland. Back to the cottage there is everything you could want (perhaps an extra tea towel or two would be useful) and the decor was lovely and tasteful. I recommend taking extra towels for the hot tub. We shall, all being well definitely be returning. It's a gorgeous little bolthole. Ideal for two who want to get away into stunning countryside.

A lovely cottage with beautiful views, cottage very clean and cosy. Jane is very helpful she kindly took us to a pub and pucked us up again. Hot tub is a bonus and very secluded. Brampton is the nearest place to get supplies if needed. Overall a fanastic stay and well recommended

Lovely cottage, couldn’t fault it. Great location to go and explore, and great to come back and get in the hot tub after a long day out.

Ideal cottage for a relaxing break, with outstanding views. Easy access to southern Scotland, Northumberland and the Lake District. The cottage has everything you need and the hot tub is an added bonus. We were there at lambing time and watching them play in the fields was brilliant.
