We had a fantastic time at The Farmhouse on a 10 person holiday. The house was more than big enough. Most our time was spent playing on the tennis court and football in the fields with our kids. It’s a real shame the pool isn’t open and the games room could do with some love but overall a great place to stay.

What a fantastic property! Situated 20 mins from York centre this was the perfect location for a short break with friends. The kitchen is huge and well equipped, the bedrooms were spacious and clean and the living room cosy and welcoming. Will definitely be returning!

The farmhouse was a great for a large family gathering with plenty of space in the kitchen, 2 lounges and many bedrooms. It was lovely and warm too! The kitchen had plenty of equipment and a great oven. Some of the it utensils/glasses/saucepans weren't very clean but dishwasher maybe wasn't working quite right. Generally the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were clean however there were quite a few cobwebs. Great having lots of ensuites/bathrooms so we weren't queuing for the shower in the morning/evening. We had a problem with the kitchen light and it was fixed straight away, great service. Enjoyed the pool although it was broken with a leak so was cold because they were having to add extra water all the time. The games room was a hit with the older children especially and the little ones enjoyed the play area. Beautiful setting in the countryside!!! Asda/Sainsbury's and huge retail park with 10-15minute drive. York close by too with a park and ride at the retail park which ran every 10 minutes. We ventured to Scarborough for the day which was fun for all. I would visit again and would recommend to others. Thank you

On arriving there was no one there to meet us we had to phone owner who said that the key was in the door. had to was some of the dishes and pans and the dish washer still had dirty dishes in it. One of the sofas when you sat down on it you sunk right down as if the springs had gone on it. The swimming pool had a pool liner in it which was rippled and had cracks in it and slippy when you attempted to walk upright.

This house urgently needs updating This was our third year visiting here but we were very disappointed with the cleanliness The cutlery drawer is filthy We were a party of 11 and there are only eleven very stained mugs The shower cubicles have black mould The tap in the bathroom is still broken from last year The pool base is creased and shabby We reported the shower in the triple room does not work via answerphone however no one has responded!
