Cottage is cosy and comfortable but compact. Owners were charming and very helpful. I have had cottage holidays since 1987 - two or three per year so I know what to expect. This is the first time a deposit has been requested and whilst it was returned, it is not a good selling point to ask for one. There were no books, games or puzzles for wet days; the information sheet had not been completed. Lots of info given verbally on arrival but you can't possibly remember it all. Access to wifi would be a good selling point. Parents should know that whilst the garden is at the back of the cottage it is not accessible without walking through the farm yard. This may be a factor for families who would want to supervise their children. The owners were very kind to us but I feel they would benefit from some advice. This is a holiday cottage and not a long term let.

Generally well equipped, but there were no egg cups and the tin opener didn't work. However, the owners provided these when we asked. The communal washing machine was faulty but the owners arranged for it to be repaired and offered the use of their own in the meanwhile. Fridge very small. Apart from the kitchen surfaces and the visible parts of the floors/carpets, the whole cottage was very dusty. A good shower. Boiler provided plenty of hot water and central heating worked well. A few extra hooks or a towel rail in the bathroom would be useful. The cottage has no wifi coverage and is in an area where this is practically non-existent, which could be a disadvantage for some. The owners were very helpful and obliging.

Disappointed ... poor standard of overall cleanliness, mould in bathroom with broken shower fixtures. No internet access. Owner demanded CASH 'security' deposit ... refused to give it and gave a post dated cheque instead which was returned by the owners wife who was nice. This cottage could be soo much better if some money was invested in it and a good deep clean.
