This cosy cottage is tucked away in the quiet hamlet of Linton, within the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. Linton is one of the most picturesque villages in the Dales. After a busy day walking or cycling within the spectacular scenery of Wharfedale, relax at the charming pub serving excellent food located on the village green with a crystal clear stream winding through, just a 50 yard stroll from the cottage. Historic almshouses and a chapel sit at one end of the green with beautiful Linton Church, falls and stepping stones a short walk away. The cottage is within walking distance of Grassington, with its individual country shops, pubs and restaurants – serving a wide range of cuisine from good pub grub to fine dining. Grassington is a vibrant village and plays host to the Summer Arts Festival, where famous singers, artists, and authors all perform. In winter, enter into the Christmas spirit and enjoy the Dickensian Festival, where history comes alive with a range of historical markets, entertainers and food. Skipton is the nearest main town, just 10 miles away. It plays host to a bustling market, and at the head of its broad sweeping, cobbled high street, stands an impressive Norman castle. Skipton offers canal cruises, golf and an indoor swimming pool together with a wide selection of shops. The National Trust site of Fountains Abbey and the historic city of York make for enjoyable days out. Shops, cafes and restaurants 2 miles (1 mile on foot), pub with restaurant and bar meals 50 yards.

Had a lovely week over the new year. The cottage was lovely and cosy, very clean and very well equipped. Ideal base for Grassington and all the various walks were on the doorstep and in a great position for the pub that served lovely meals. Would definitely recommend.

A well equipped comfortable cottage in a beautiful village with stunning scenery and country walks right on the doorstep. The cottage and the village pub really are dog friendly and food in the pub is excellent and reasonably priced. We stayed in early November and had a lovely time despite cold and rainy weather; enjoyed the wood burning stove and the lovely new reclining sofa. The owners are very friendly and helpful too. We would book this cottage again.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Cottage it was tastefully decorated, really cosy and well equipped. The only downside was the hit and miss parking. If the village pub was busy it was difficult and sometimes not possible to park nearby. Parking aside there were no issues, the setting is beautiful, the village has a pub and a bus shelter so it is difficult to score highly on local amenities but that is not what my holidaying in the Dales was about it was the peace, tranquility, flora and fauna and well signposted walks through fantastic countryside all of which was abundant. Fantastic.
