Loved our time at the Cottage on the Green it is alovely cottage in a really nice, quiet village. Was lovely to have a pub right on the doorstep for food and drink. Other villages were a little further away than we had envisaged but we still had a nice walk one of the days Would definitely stay again!!

Enjoyed our stay. Lovely village, great 'proper'pub, lovely food. Good walks. Cottage well equipped. Pros...log burner and comfy bed. Cons....sofa too small and uncomfortable. Desperately needs a good sofa and chair to properly enjoy log burner.

We have stayed at the cottage on the green a total of 3 times now and have always been impressed with the cottage hence our return year after year. This year we found the place to be lacking in cleanliness and definitely requires some TLC. The sofa is too small for 2 and feels dirty. The television is outdated and too small for evening viewing. The lack of WiFi is also disappointing for the price of the cottage. The rug in the lounge is well past it’s best having been chewed and torn by a dog. It looks unsightly and smells. The bathroom was not up to its usual clean standards and had the past guests hairs in it. The shower has also clearly been leaking as is made apparent by the black mould around the skirting. The kitchen crockery and pans etc need to be checked to ensure they are clean for the next person. The pans were still greasy and stained and the grater still covered in cheese. The bed as usual was clean and comfy but the sheets were stained along with the carpet. We also had to remove the batteries for one of the smoke alarms as it was beeping to alert that the batteries were flat. We then checked the second alarm to ensure we had one working alarm only to find that the battery for this one was actually disconnected. This was very upsetting and dangerous considering that there is a fire and firewood provided for use. This you would hope would be one of the most vital checks during swap overs. Overall an enjoyable stay in Cornwall but the cottage needs a deep clean and modernising

It was lovely, in a friendly village, close to a shop and a pub, not too far off a main road so you aren't on country lanes for too long. Spent a lovely week here, had everything we needed. Will stay again

The cottage was roomy for 2 people and we'll equipped. The cooker was an induction cooker which, although the instructions were in the cottage we couldn't figure out how it worked, not ideal as we ended up having to eat out a lot. Nice seating area outside in a sunny position and the lively weather was a bonus. Local people were friendly which was nice.

This is a great little cottage in a great location, not a lot the owners can do to improve this little gem, great for a couple and dogs.
