Unable to work electric cooker so ate out or used microwave. Very nice setting on the village green which was quite busy with cars for the pub parked all around. No sitting out area to speak of where you could enjoy a cup of coffee/glass of wine though

We arrived and walked into a very strong smell of bleach. As we looked around we were happy with the accommodation. That was until we started to notice a strange smell (the reason for the strong bleach). We went out for some dinner at the local pub which served some good food and on returning we realised that the smell was getting worse. When we woke in the morning we both had headaches and sore throats. We looked around the place to try and find the reason for the smell and we were shocked to find the wall above the bed was covered in dark mould. Not just a small patch but the whole wall was covered. We had to leave after a couple of days due to this. We complained about this to the vendor only to be offered a voucher to use on another break. We cut our break short due to the state of the property and when we complained they said they could fix the problems but in our eyes it would of taken a decorator several days to resolve it and we would of had to of left the property for this to happen. There are other issues that were raised like the safety of the wooden stairs going up to the bedroom and the fact that they swayed and felt unsafe but again this was meet with the response of no it isn’t. This place is in a lovely little village and if it wasn’t for the mould and unsafe staircase then it would of been a nice break.
