Cottage is a wooden cabin and should be advertised as such ...bathroom was very poor ..not finished off to a good standard and the freezer part of the fridge was full of ice and needed to be de-frosted...on the plus side the location is fantastic ...you can walk off into the forest from the back door and the swimming pool was an added bonus as the weather was very hot ...

We absolutely love coming here. We always receive such a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble for our lovely hosts. The cottage is cosy and charming whilst its setting is truly outstanding . The perfect place to totally switch off from it all.

We have stayed at the cottage for 2 weeks spring & autumn for quite a few years now. Whilst it would benefit from some updating (& if you're looking for 5 star accommodation you would be disappointed) it is perfectly adequate, warm & comfortable. The attraction for us is the location which is 10 star (never mind 5 star) if you want peace, quiet & tranquillity. The sunsets from the patio are remarkable. You can see for miles in every direction & there are no roads or buildings - just heathland, trees & sky. Miles of varied walks again without ever seeing a road. & yet a pub doing meals & real ales less than half a mile away. The wildlife is guaranteed. Without leaving the building you will see the semi-wild horses, deer & birds. This visit we saw tawny owl, buzzard, heron, woodpecker etc. & the friendly, welcoming house keeper & owner on hand if you need help with anything.

This cottage could do with an extensive refurbishment. Also the water pressure in the shower was non-existent. However, the view and location are what makes this property. It overlooks heathland and there are ponies and donkeys everywhere. There is an excellent pub nearby within walking distance.
