A cosy cottage with a stunning view and helpful and friendly hosts. We really enjoyed the time at the cottage. Place enough for 2 adults and 2 children. I think for four adults it is a little bit too small. We had our camping chairs with us and our hosts gave us a small table, so we could enjoy our dinners outside. Great walks directly from the cottage and a nice place to go swimming with the children not far away.

Accommodation was excellent, very nice space and fire. Amazing views across the ranges. Excellent location for exploring Coniston area, Langdale Pikes, easy drive to Coniston and Ambleside. Decent pub and wifi down in Elterwater. Plenty of local outdoor routes.

A great getaway from the modern world to simply relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery. There is no TV and no mobile signal although we did get 4G on a MiFi internet box to check local weather and facilities in local towns. The bed was very comfortable; the log burning stove was effective and added to the cosiness of the cottage.
