A characterful barn conversion set in two acres of grounds stylishly decorated to a very high standard.

Located in the heart of the village of Northwold, The Cottage is built on the site of a 17th-century farm building adjoining the owner’s barn, and is set in approximately 2 acres of natural grounds, which guests have shared use of. Stylishly decorated and furnished, this very comfortable holiday home is conveniently situated in Breckland, on the borders of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. Northwold, mentioned in the Domesday Book, has a 13th-century church and many quiet roads and lanes, making it ideal for walkers and cyclists. It is less than 1 hour’s drive to the stunning North Norfolk Coast, offering lovely sandy beaches. Nearby Thetford Forest provides extensive walks and bicycle trails, and is also the home of ‘Go Ape’. The imposing National Trust property Oxburgh Hall is 6 miles away, whilst Sandringham and the royal parks are 25 miles. 16 miles from the medieval port of Kings Lynn and 23 miles from the Cathedral city of Ely. Also within easy reach are Newmarket and the cities of Norwich and Cambridge. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

Great cottage for the weekend, visiting family. Very comfortable. Home from home! Toni and Micheal were superb hosts, even to the home made bread and marmalade! Brilliant.

A real home from home! Extremely well-equipped and very comfortable. The owners make you feel very welcome and no request is too much trouble for them. Our fourth visit and we are still enjoying Northwold.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cottage. We had a lovely welcome from Toni and Malcolm who showed us around and explained what was what inside and out. Everything we needed and more was here at this cottage. Each bedroom having its own en-suite was great for us as we were two couples and a mum. We would definitely book again.

Wonderful place - enormous amounts of room - huge kitchen diner and even larger lounge. Extremely well equipped and beautifully, sympathetically decorated. You will want for nothing. Sparkling clean, very warm, very relaxing. Loads of room in the garden (we call it the park - it is so big) for the kids to play. Games equipment, tennis rackets, swing ball, etc, all provided. Hide and seek in the dark was very popular- especially with granddad! Magnificent welcome pack and the most charming, attentive hosts you have ever met. We have been four times and will be returning in the autumn. It is soooooo....... relaxing. We always go home entirely refreshed! Fabulous cycling for lazy cyclists! Quiet lanes and very few hills. Forest paths are also good.
