02 phone reception 4/5 Wi-fi good Very well placed to walk to Haxby village (less than 10 minutes) with Co-Op, Sainsburys two coffee shops, fish and chips and many other shops. Cottage area and village are very quiet. Frequent buses to York and ideally placed for lots of interesting NT houses etc.

Cosy corner was situated on a quiet estate within a 5 minute walk from haxby centre , where you could find 3 pubs , a Chinese and Indian takeaway and fish and chip shop. Also various shops including a Sainsbury’s and co-op. Also a bus stop where a bus could be caught to take you into York. Buses every 12 minutes. The cottage itself was very comfortable with everything you would need. Will definitely be using the cottage again next time we are in Yorkshire.

The Cosy Corner is not a very plesant place to stay. Very little to no facilities, not even allowed to smoke near the garden and the house. The cottage was not very clean special the oven and kooking-plate durty. The village is pretty with good grosery and dining facilities. Never seen any one from the owners living attached to the Cosy Corner as if this was a garage. Thank you not for us anymore. Jack

Response on behalf of the owner. Sorry your stay was not to your expectations, this is a no smoking property but we don't have any issue with you wanting to enjoy a smoke in the garden. I would have provided you with an ashtray had you asked me, as I have done with previous guests. I hope you find future holiday accommodation to your taste.
