This property is part of our Welcome Cottages collection

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Enjoy a traditional seaside holiday, with the beauty of Great Yarmouth just a short drive away, at this lovely holiday cottage.

Dating back to the 19th century, this wonderful holiday property once formed part of the coaching inn for The Grange, a grade II listed building now utilised as a family run hotel with a small touring park. This end of terrace cottage, at the rear of the hotel, has been refurbished to a high standard to provide comfortable and welcoming accommodation. There is a spacious kitchen/dining room on the ground floor along with a comfortable living room and twin bedroom. The first floor has a kingsize bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, which is also used as the main house bathroom. Located at the edge of the village of Ormesby, close to the Broads, the property is ideal for bird watching, fishing (with a licence and in season), walking and cycling. The family seaside resort of Great Yarmouth is just a short drive away with its fun fair, pier, excellent sandy beach, model village, amusements, indoor leisure centre with pool, Sea Life Centre and crazy golf. The nearby village of Caister-on-Sea has a wide sandy beach backed with grassy dunes, shops, restaurants, cafés and a pub. Caister Lifeboat Visitor Centre and Caister Castle, home to an impressive classic car collection, are both worth a visit. For an exciting night out head to Yarmouth Stadium, located between Caister-on-Sea and Great Yarmouth, which hosts evenings of greyhound racing and stock car racing. Daily boat hire and river trips are available to explore the expanse of waterways of the Norfolk Broads, with its pretty villages, country pubs and amazing wildlife. Do not miss the city of Norwich, 22 miles, with its cathedral, castle museum, theatre, excellent shopping malls, market square, cafés and pubs. Explore the history of the area and visit the beautiful National Trust properties of Blickling Estate and Felbrigg Halls. Enjoy a wonderful evening at the on-site pub and restaurant situated 10 yards from the property, which occasionally hosts fun evenings of live music. Beach 1½ miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 10 yards.

Sylvia really made us welcome at the coach house. She ensured we had everything we needed for our holiday there. The cottage is beautiful and my daughter did not want to leave. The location is perfect, close to surrounding villages and Great Yarmouth. We loved Caister-on-sea beach as was very close by and very clean & quiet. We would definitely return to the coach house and would highly recommend this to others.

The cottage was top class and the owner was very welcoming adding some lovely personal touches for our stay. The cottage was decorated to perfection with lots of nice homely touches. The beds were so comfortable and we slept really well. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and would not hesitate in booking again should be decide to book a holiday in that area.

Coach House Cottage is a comfortable, cosy cottage situated in an area with various amenities, and has been modernised to a very high and tasteful degree. There are local beaches for the family and some good eating houses and pubs very close. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely little cottage house in a great location just outside Yarmouth. It’s in a perfect spot to get into town, or drive up the coast, or inland to the Broads. It was wonderfully clean and Sylvia couldn’t have been more helpful. There’s no garden but there is a pub/holiday park just over the road with a play area. We would definitely stay here again.

We booked this as a last minute weekend break. The cottage was recently renovated to a very high standard. We were given a very warm welcome by the owner on arrival. There were fresh flowers, a cake and some chocolate bunnies on the children’s pillows which were lovely personal touches. The cottage is located at the back of a pub/hotel which serves lovely food and was a perfect base for us to visit the local beaches and attractions.
