Dating back to the 19th century, this wonderful holiday property once formed part of the coaching inn for The Grange, a grade II listed building now utilised as a family run hotel with a small touring park. This end of terrace cottage, at the rear of the hotel, has been refurbished to a high standard to provide comfortable and welcoming accommodation. There is a spacious kitchen/dining room on the ground floor along with a comfortable living room and twin bedroom. The first floor has a kingsize bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, which is also used as the main house bathroom. Located at the edge of the village of Ormesby, close to the Broads, the property is ideal for bird watching, fishing (with a licence and in season), walking and cycling. The family seaside resort of Great Yarmouth is just a short drive away with its fun fair, pier, excellent sandy beach, model village, amusements, indoor leisure centre with pool, Sea Life Centre and crazy golf. The nearby village of Caister-on-Sea has a wide sandy beach backed with grassy dunes, shops, restaurants, cafés and a pub. Caister Lifeboat Visitor Centre and Caister Castle, home to an impressive classic car collection, are both worth a visit. For an exciting night out head to Yarmouth Stadium, located between Caister-on-Sea and Great Yarmouth, which hosts evenings of greyhound racing and stock car racing. Daily boat hire and river trips are available to explore the expanse of waterways of the Norfolk Broads, with its pretty villages, country pubs and amazing wildlife. Do not miss the city of Norwich, 22 miles, with its cathedral, castle museum, theatre, excellent shopping malls, market square, cafés and pubs. Explore the history of the area and visit the beautiful National Trust properties of Blickling Estate and Felbrigg Halls. Enjoy a wonderful evening at the on-site pub and restaurant situated 10 yards from the property, which occasionally hosts fun evenings of live music. Beach 1½ miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 10 yards.

This was our first holiday with our youngest child who is 20 months and our eldest at 4 yrs old. The cottage was fantastic and catered to our needs. Sylvia was very helpful and welcoming having provided multiple leaflets and vouchers for local attractions. We thought the cottage was very nicely decorated throughout with a modern looking kitchen, a comfy front room and grand looking master bedroom. I would have liked satellite tv as we had a bit of down time with our youngest having naps and earlier bedtimes but that is only a minor criticism. We would definitely recommend this cottage to a young family due to the practicalities of the cottage and its ideal location to several local attractions including being within a mile of the coast.

This cottage is beautiful, so well decorated and comfortable. Lots of space. Lots of lovely touches, fresh flowers, milk, biscuits, cake! The host made certain we were happy and well looked after, with a personal welcome on arrival. There was even an Easter egg hunt for my daughter! Good location for exploring Norfolk, Yarmouth is only 10 minutes away, Cromer 50 minutes.

The cottage was perfect. It had been decorated very tastefully and to a high standard, and had some lovely touches to it. We had everything we needed and everything was spotlessly clean. The beds were extremely comfortable too. Sylvia was very friendly and welcoming, and her clever granddaughter Lola had even made an Easter egg trail in the house for our little girl, which our daughter really enjoyed! The house is in a good location for Great Yarmouth, Hemsby and Caister, all of which have good beaches. We hope to be back again, and I’d thoroughly recommend it!

Sylvia really made us welcome at the coach house. She ensured we had everything we needed for our holiday there. The cottage is beautiful and my daughter did not want to leave. The location is perfect, close to surrounding villages and Great Yarmouth. We loved Caister-on-sea beach as was very close by and very clean & quiet. We would definitely return to the coach house and would highly recommend this to others.
