Lovely cottage. Very rural, probably need a car, but we expected that. Pictures show a log store and a log burner but they provide pellets instead, and although there was a note saying a bucket of pellets was available, there were less than a cupful so we were unable to have a fire at all. We could have contacted the owner, but decided not to as it was warm enough with just the underfloor heating. Also expected a welcome pack, but there wasn’t anything except camomile and green tea, I think there must usually be regular tea and coffee though as there were empty containers. Had to go and buy loo roll too mid-stay. The beds were comfy, the shower and bath were great, used the washer too. Slept well as quiet and dark. Liked the decor, might benefit from Netflix, or selection of board games, but neither essential. On the whole felt at home, and would both recommend and stay again. Thank you.

The cottage was incredible, it was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. I enjoyed sitting in the garden, listening to the sound of the river and sounds of the sheep and birds, whilst I read my book, I appreciated that the garden chairs were under a shelter so I could still sit outside when it was raining. The tv had a good selection of channels so we had plenty to watch and the sofa was comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom was great, I wish I had a bath like that at home! The bedrooms were spacious, had plenty of storage and comfortable beds, I slept wonderfully. The locals in the village were very friendly and helped us to get the correct bus. We didn't find a shop in the village or anywhere that served food so it's difficult to get food if you don't drive, the buses run regular to Bridgend and Pencoed but we found that there is no service on Sundays, although I imagine most people who stay here have the common sense to bring a car unlike us so that shouldn't be a problem for most! It would be nice if the owners left some milk along with the selection of tea bags they left so we could have enjoyed a good cup of tea as soon as we arrived, although that is the only small suggestion I have for improvement because it was a great cottage. We enjoyed walking around the countryside, oh and there is a farm up the road that sells free range eggs which were tasty.

Really lovely cottage. Great location. However parking was slightly tight and having more than one car made parking slightly more difficult. The cottage is small but cosy - slightly too small for four people but perfect for two. Loved the jacuzzi bath. The fridge in the cottage was very small but there was a larger one in the summerhouse which was handy. The only thing we struggled with was that there was no bin as such (only recycling bags in the summerhouse). There was nowhere to put black bin waste that couldn’t be recycled so we had to use bags and take rubbish away with us.

Response on behalf of the owner:- Thank you so much for your lovely comments in your customer review after your stay in the Coach House. We were really please to hear you found it clean and comfortable and more importantly had everything you needed. It was great to hear you enjoyed the surroundings and the sounds of nature whilst you relaxed outside. Lots of guests comment that they enjoy the shelter outside keeping the rain away so it's always good to hear that. In addition we were happy to hear that the sofa was comfy and that you enjoyed the bathroom which many guests would certainly agree with, its very popular! It was nice to hear you had a good nights rest and felt that the beds were comfortable. We can see that leaving milk would be appreciated especially with late arrival times in some cases. Thank you once again Laura for taking time to leave a review for the cottage and I'm only sorry we didn't catch you during your stay as we always try to pop in and check everything is ok. We look forward to welcoming you back to the coach house.
