Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Lying in a conservation area in the heart of the Cotswolds offering spacious, elegantly furnished accommodation.

Standing alone, within the lovely garden of a 17th-century Grade II listed house in the village, and originally part of the nearby Shipton Court Estate (one of the largest Jacobean houses in the country dating from 1603), this charming, refurbished Coach House lies within a conservation area in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It offers cosy and spacious holiday accommodation, and its own peaceful garden. Set in the heart of the Cotswolds and on the edge of the village, it is both secluded and secure. Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are all close by, and Cirencester, Cheltenham, Stratford and Oxford all less than an hour away. Good restaurants, theatre, walking, antiques, riding, racing (Cheltenham Gold Cup), historic houses, together with golf, gardens and fishing are all easily accessible. Shop 1 mile, nearest of three village pubs, 100 yards.

Good sized, elegantly furnished, comfortable living/dining room with antiques, wood-burning stove and two sets of French doors to delightful courtyard garden. Kitchen. Cloakroom and toilet. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed. Twin bedroom with dressing room. Bathroom with over-bath power shower, toilet and low ceiling.

Lovely cottage in beautiful village. Very well equipped with some lovely thoughtful extras e.g bottle of wine, fresh eggs. Very spacious and private. Only suggestion would be that the bathroom would perhaps benefit from an update. We had a really enjoyable holiday

Thoroughly wonderful time at the Coach House. It was a very cosy venue in a beautiful setting. The living area and bedrooms were a good size, and nice and warm. It was a shame the kitchen only had an electric heater. As we visited in November, the drive in the evening was very dark unless the neighbour was in. Also the fixed shower in the bathroom was very low. Would recommend the Wychwood in the village and a visit to Broadway Tower and Broadway village, as well as Blenheim Palace and the Bird in Hand on the way to Witney.

We had a wonderful time at the Coach House. It was clean and tidy and had everything that we needed. There was a fair amount of construction in the local area (obviously out of the cottage owner's control) and once that is completed, the cottage will be a very quiet and calm place to stay. There were lots of fabulous activities and days out nearby, and the local pub was super too. Thank you for a super stay!
