Description

This holiday property with 2-acre grounds, retains many original features, but is also equipped with a hot tub.

Lying peacefully in a secluded location with magnificent views over the rolling countryside, this charming, detached, 18th century former coach house makes a perfect holiday base for families or groups who are looking to explore the rugged mountains and enchanted sites of mid Wales. The restoration has been carried out sensitively to enable the property to retain all of its original attractive features including stone walls and oak beams, plus welcoming touches have been added such as a woodburner to provide a wonderful ambience for cosy nights in. It has been tastefully decorated throughout with oak furnishings, a contemporary-style kitchen and en-suite bathrooms. Outside, guests can relax in their private hot tub, where they can unwind after spending days out on adventures, whilst watching the red kites and peregrine falcons soar over the magnificent scenery. For a family time together, explore the rugged Cambrian Mountains and discover the ruins of Strata Florida Abbey or visit the Cors Caron Nature Reserve, which offers an abundance of walks amidst flourishing wildlife, including birds of prey, fish and the occasional otter. Just a stone’s throw away, are the charming market towns of Lampeter and Tregaron, both rich with Welsh culture and offering a collection of traditional Welsh pubs, tasteful restaurants and elegant gift shops. A short drive away lays the dramatic Ceredigion coastline, which features the pretty coastal towns of New Quay and Aberaeron, set within their tranquil fishing harbours where bottlenose dolphins can be seen on a clear day. A good well equipped venue, ideal for our five families. We had space to accommodate children from 3 to 14 years of age. Kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean and ready to use. Super cooker! The hot tub was a bonus great to unwind in after a tiring day out. It was a shame that the sauna was out of action as high temperatures faded through the week and several members of the party were wanting to try it. Beds were comfortable and double rooms spacious and clean. Mike and family were friendly and helpful and eager to ensure that we had a good holiday.

Very disapointed. Sauna did not work and was not fixed for us. Closes pub is advertised 1 mile away and is at least 4 mile away. Feel we didn't get what we paid for and things where false advertised.

We had a fantastic week with our friends and children at The Coach House. Stunning location and so much space for the children to play. Rooms were spacious and all that we needed in the kitchen. The hot tub was an added bonus.

Absolutely fabulous holiday! Warm welcome from the owners and fabulous standard of accomodation. Perfect location away from it all! We were 18 people and 1 dog and the house was perfect. We definitely would love to visit again!
