We had such a lovely weekend staying at the coach house. It was so well equipped and we spent most of the weekend around the cottage and the two boys loved going to see Gemini the Shetland pony and feeding the 3 pigs. And the cake, wine and flowers on arrival was just perfect! Thank you!

The cottage was nice but there were just little niggles that let it down, 1st was the shower and I use that term loosely it was a pathetic dribble at best the water temperature was very hot and miss! The very least I expect on a weekend away is a decent shower and if certainly doesn’t have 1 at the coach house. The 2nd problem was the lack of security although the cottage is in the middle of nowhere I would expect to be able to lock the door! The main door locked absolutely fine but the conservatory door did not lock and the interior door to the conservatory did not have a key supplied at all. Another problem was the lack of privacy in the cottage the owner lives perphaps 12ft away across a drive and frequently walked past the cottage windows which made us feel quite uncomfortable and watched if I’m honest, the hot tub was housed in what was basically a shed and whilst it was good that it was covered so could be used in all weather the shed was small to the point that to pull the cover back on we had to do it standing in the tub as the space at the sides of the tub was so tight. The pros to the cottage the comfy beds and lounge although the lounge is on the 1st floor which we weren’t aware of when booking the setting was beautiful but on the whole a lot of the basics weren’t met so we would not return.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at The Coach House. We are sorry about the shower however; the water pressure can be low at times due to the property location, especially if consecutive showers are being taken. This has not been a concern for previous guests and we hope that the low water pressure experienced during your stay was a one off occurrence however, we will monitor this going forward and if any problems arise, the correct course of action will be taken. The first floor living room is clearly advertised within the property description on the website. The lock has been repaired, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We kindly ask all guests to let us know the moment you meet a problem, as the chances are it can be solved quickly and easily. We live on site and will always respond quickly to any concerns or problems that our guests have.

We had a wonderful time at the Coach House. The owner is so lovely. Our children fed the pigs which they thoroughly enjoyed and they allowed us to walk our dog around a huge field within their grounds. I don’t quite understand previous reviews stipulating how close the main house is. I felt this was a huge positive and would stress that the huge peaceful garden, hot tub, and the house itself is completely private. There’s a couple of windows that can see out to the main house but In my opinion the owners would’nt see in anyhow unless their was a light on and they stood starring (which I doubt very much they would) plus there’s curtains anyhow which one would assume are usually drawn of an evening when there’s nothing to see outside other than darkness! I still felt we had utmost privacy and the owners left us to it. It was great to be sitting down in the lounge watching out as horses pass in the surrounding fields is superb! We had a bottle of wine and fresh flowers upon arrival which was very welcoming. Our children enjoyed playing with the toys there, we had a BBQ, the owners maintained the hotub early in the morning so they didn’t disturb us and also this is essential to health safety -hot tubs can carry health risks if they are not chlorinated properly so again we were more than happy with this. We went on the horse drawn canal trip, the local parks were great for the children and the nature trail to see the Wales/English border. There was plenty to do and we had quality family time. I would strongly receommend and will be returning.

We absolutely loved it, we are a group of young people and the Owner completely left us alone so the reviews about her being nosey and peeping all the time is absolutely rubbish she was friendly and super helpful her and her husband even gave us a lift to the village and made sure we got a taxi back! You are close to the owners house but it wasn’t a problem at all, we would definitely visit again we had the best weekend!

The coach house was in a nice quite location with shops and pubs close by (5 min by car and 30 min walk). It had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. However, when we got there it wasnt as clean as we would have expected and the bin hadnt been emptyied. Dust in the window sills and around the skirting boards. Oven and grill hadnt been cleaned and some of the plates and cups had been put back in the cuboard dirty. Also it was quite hot when we got there so we opened up the windows which wasnt a good idea because of the mosquito's. They were everywhere so had to close all the windows which made it unfortable to sleep at night. The ower of the proberty was very nice and gave us some spray which killed them all, she told us she was having problems with her cleaner. I hope she has sorted out the cleaning problem or else the ratings will go down & thats a shame. We didnt let it ruin our little break away and had a nice time.

Response on behalf of the owner; We are sorry to hear that the property was not up to standard. We have taken appropriate action to ensure the property has undergone a deep clean and that the cleanliness standards will stay high.

This was a lovely house very spacious for 6 people, it was up side down so the lounge was upstairs and had a lovely view over the paddock, we could see the horses. The kitchen was big had a farmhouse table that all the family could sit to eat together. The conservatory was comfortable with a little TV ... The fly net could have been more secure the catch was broken so we had to lean a book against it keep it closed. The bathroom downstairs was very small but had everything we needed. The second bathroom upstairs had a bath it was very light and roomy. Gardens were secluded there was a picnic table but no garden furniture however the conservatory furniture could be carried outside each day. At the end of the garden was a shed with the jacuzzi this was a bonus and was one of the reasons l booked this we where not disappointed it was fabulous.

We had a great weekend in the Coach house with friends and children, There was a lovely friendly welcome from the unobtrusive owner, and she was kind enough to take the Children to see the pony and Turkeys. We also appreciated the bottle of wine and coffee machine, stocked with pods. The hot tub was lovely as were the gardens. We walked into the village along the canal path, which took about 25 minutes at a strolling pace and enjoyed the wildlife and bluebell woods on the opposite bank. Would definitely recommend this comfortable, clean and well equipped house.

Having recently visited The Coach House for 4 days we will not be returning. We were met by the owner who lives literally 20 metres away. My daughter had drove me with the intention of driving back but being pregnant felt sick when talking to the owner she said only the 6 people could stay which was fine as we had friends in Pants and Welshpool so it was fine. We did however tell her we would have a number of visitors coming and going visiting us which the owner said was fine just no over nighters. So we organised for visitors to get picked up and leave cars so we could have a Presecco. Needless to say the owner phoned the letting agency twice. On one occasion the girls friends had been there an hour were having pizza and she was complaining! She constantly looks in the property! So you constantly close the curtains for privacy. There was Dog dirt from her dogs in the garden. The hot tub is not private and she checks unannounced. They shoot rabbits which upset our children as they saw it being carried The cottage is not well equipped No plastic tumblers for children or for use in hot tub Damp and mould in cupboards Lots of dust in wardrobe and on blinds when closed all dust came down. Plates under sofa Drive full of pot holes Dirt under cushions on chairs Broken lock on shower room Such a shame they don’t put some money back into the property and also realise that people need some privacy when paying for it!! There is a Gold Award for Reviews from 2015 I think they need to pull their socks up and get cleaning again!! I would be very disappointed if we had paid for a week in peak season!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We were most disappointed with the comments in this review. Unfortunately this customer had decided to turn up with more people than the six that our property is designed and insured for, and we therefore had to discuss this with them, and so we believe this to be the reason we have received this negative review. The Coach House is in the grounds of our own home, but it is detached. Our guests (and our) privacy is important and is fully respected at all times. The statement that we ‘constantly look’ in the property is quite simply incorrect. The grass is regularly mown; we have again checked and can assure future guests that there is not a problem with dog poo. We have a health & safety responsibility to check the hot tub on a daily basis. At no time did we visit whilst the guests were using it. Our cleaner is very efficient as you will see from previous Reevoo comments. There are currently some pot holes in the drive, which has been caused by the recent adverse weather conditions, and we have been waiting for the weather to improve so they can be fixed. We specifically discussed the pest control man, who had come to deal with the rabbits, with these guests as we were anxious that it should not upset the children who were staying in the property. The customer mentioned that she was a farmer’s daughter and she was happy for him to go ahead. Had she expressed any concern at all, we would not have allowed him to proceed. We trust that prospective guests will put this review into perspective by reading the Reevoo comments from the many other happy guests that we welcome to The Coach House, the vast majority of whom have scored us as a 9 or 10.

We have just returned home from a 4 night stay at The Coach House the property was very clean and in a good location , However when we booked it we did not realise it was so close to the owners house which to be fair is our fault . One side of the property directly faces the owners property and is no more than 20 metres away which does have an impact on your privacy ,we found we had to have all the curtains closed on one side of the property to claim back some privacy which in turn then took away the views , there were several visitors to the connected stables and this brought quite a lot of noise , The property has a hot tub which is good but the owners feel the need to go and inspect it without checking if we were using it my personal view is once you pay your money that property is effectively yours for the duration of your stay , There is a garden at the rear of the property which is reasonable private but it was littered with dog muck we found the owners pet on the grass on several occasions I find it ironic has the owners do allow pets but insist on them being kept on leads . Overall the property is nice but if you want a truly detached property with privacy it probably is not the one for you .

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry you had issues. The property is a coach house and the name suggets it is near a larger house, however we do not feel it encroaches on your privacy. We have a small livery yard and the guests usually love to see the pony so sorry if this impacted at all, we apologise for that. The hot tub has to be checked daily due to health and safety guidelines. We apologise about the dog muck, we are ususally very fastidious regarding the cleaning of it. We ask guests to keep pets on a lead due to the smallholding to which our pets are used to. It is also within the terms and conditions from for dogs to be on a lead, and we noted that you didn’t bring a pet with you. Apologies for the pet in your garden he is a naughty jack russell puppy and hasn’t quite mastered boundries yet but will.
