Lovely cottage, quite remote; 1 1/2 miles from the pub (not 3/4) along mucky & pot-holed roads, but good location for short local walks and getting out to the hills and towns; kitchen well equipped and comfy beds, good showers etc.

We had a fantastic stay it is a lovely cottage with a very well eqipped kitchen plenty of everything. The tea coffee sugar was nice to have as well as salt pepper oil tin foil. Extra bits that help alot. Its all set in a lovely remote location perfect for family break just being together. We took our two dogs who enjoyed it to the enclosed garden is very good but for dog walks the area not so great unless u dont mind lifting the dogs over every single gate/fence/barbed wire. Beds comfy and clean nice towel display as well. Only two negatives when we arrived it was freezing cold no heating on at all it was middle of November so would of been nice to have some heating on. And then one of the bins in shower room hadnt been emptied from previous guests but other than that we couldnt fault it.

So stunning to arrive in a super cottage, already looking at returning. It was beautiful. Loved every minute of it, nice walks, cooking for the friends and relaxing in super equipped place, not so pleasant farmer who told us off for walking our dogs across a field that was already down trodden,

The Byre is absolutely stunning, beautifully, comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. The only things we lacked were egg cups and cooking tonges but everything else made up for it. The only reason I wouldn't return is the accessibility, the lanes are very narrow with blind bends. A more confident driver probably wouldn't find this an issue. I would suggest to anyone booking The Byre to make sure you take all the essentials for your first night. If I couldn't have had a cup of tea when we arrived I would have been gutted. Ignoring the issues that were a problem to me personally I would rate it a 9.

Great house for our weekend away! Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kids to play about in. House was spotless and in a nice, quiet location. Would definitely return.

Was absolutely beautiful. Really spacious and comfortable. Was overall pretty clean but kitchen could be been a little cleaner and also toilet had a slight smell. Really warm and cosy feeling. Nice garden and beautiful serene location. Kids loved watching the sheep and made friends with the farmer up the drive. Local shop well stocked. Didn't need to buy much as we brought almost everything with. American fridge freezer was a big help for storing the stuff we brought. Cooker is ceramic not gas as in description but that worked fine for us. We had great outings with the kids. Yvonne even had disposable bbq's for our use which was really appreciated. We had a lovely stay and would seriously think of returning! Thank you Yvonne and thanks for always being available any time we had anything to ask!☺Was family friendly but lots of ornaments, etc. so we put them out of the toddlers reach.
