Superbly located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with long-distance views from the rear towards Malham Cove, these three properties form part of a barn conversion dating back to the 1800s. Exposed stonework, beams and arches are a feature in their well furnished interiors. They are set on the owners’ working farm (keep dogs under control) and there is a farm shop close by where there is a selection of local produce and crafts which can be purchased. With their own separate garden areas complete with barbecue equipment, the cottages can be booked together to accommodate larger groups wishing to holiday together, yet retain their independence.

Surrounded by rolling countryside criss-crossed with the limestone walls for which this region is renowned, each forms an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts, with stunning walks from the doorstep leading to Malham Cove, Gordale Scar, Malham Tarn and Janet’s Foss. The historic market town of Skipton is close at hand, boasting one of England’s best preserved Norman castles. Take a leisurely boat trip along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, step back in time with a narrated ghost walk around the town’s backwaters, or hunt for a bargain at the bustling street market – its stalls laden with local produce. An alternative selection of shops and tearooms can be found in Settle (6 miles), an ideal base for embarking on a journey aboard the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway. Set on the banks of the River Wharfe, the ruined priory of Bolton Abbey offers a picturesque setting for picnics and strolls along the river bank, and serves as a good starting point for more challenging hikes through forest and heath. Plenty of good restaurants and country pubs serving real ales and fine local fayre in the vicinity. Shop 10 yards.

Stable Cottage (IFU), Cove View (IFV) and The Byre (IFW) can be booked together to accommodate up to 16 guests.

Very nice spacious and clean property in an area that is reknown for walking. The surrounding area has numerous small villages to visit I would recommend Grassington and Malham Cove. The owners of the property were really pleasant. We will return again soon.

The property was spacious and comfortable , the only draw back was the steep steps down to accommodation . The Farm shop and Tea Room were excellent .

Good location for exploring Malham, road noise wasn't too bad at night. Beds were very uncomfortable as you could feel the springs. As other reviews have said, as this is a basement property, it is dark and we had to have the lights on most off the time we were there. Property is spacious however.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We’re sorry you found the beds uncomfortable, new mattresses have been put on all beds in all cottages.

Good location. Good amount of space which was well laid out. Kitchen equipment was reasonable. We did have to go and purchase a mattress topper for 140 pounds as the mattresses are now failing as they have come to the end of their lives and need replacing. This is the reason why we would not stay here again. It was good to have the farmhouse shop next door.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We were sorry you had an uncomfortable week; we hadn’t noticed the mattresses, as obviously we haven’t slept there. New mattresses are now in place on all beds and in our other cottages too.
