A lovely cottage for exploring the area, very comfortable and well equipped - and possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever had in a holiday let! Genuinely dog-friendly too.

We were in the area to attend a stargazing session at Kielder Observatory so booked this cottage for the weekend. It is a very quaint, cosy, well presented cottage with all the amenities you need. We went as two adults with two dogs but there was plenty of room if 4 adults went. Everything in the cottage was well explained and the owners obviously have a very good eye for detail. We had great contact with the owners who kept was well informed of everything. Although it was cloudy so the stargazing was no good we had a lovely weekend!

Lovely cottage, nicely decorated. Wonderful area, friendly people and dogs. Lovely owner very helpful and quick to respond to any queries we had and the neighbours we met while staying at the cottage were very welcoming.

The cottage is well located and simply furnished. It was well-equipped and provided for. It is just around the corner from the village shops and pubs which is great. We were there in a heatwave which meant that sleeping upstairs was very warm. The cottage could do with a bit of a spruce up as having visited a few years ago it seems things have not been updated. It was surface clean but blinds, lamp shades and dados were thick with dust and there were cobwebs hanging from the roof. It is a pity that the owners have not made more of a feature of the small space outside the front door. A lick of paint would make such a difference to what has the potential to be a lovely cottage. We enjoyed the visit!
