The cottage is well located and simply furnished. It was well-equipped and provided for. It is just around the corner from the village shops and pubs which is great. We were there in a heatwave which meant that sleeping upstairs was very warm. The cottage could do with a bit of a spruce up as having visited a few years ago it seems things have not been updated. It was surface clean but blinds, lamp shades and dados were thick with dust and there were cobwebs hanging from the roof. It is a pity that the owners have not made more of a feature of the small space outside the front door. A lick of paint would make such a difference to what has the potential to be a lovely cottage. We enjoyed the visit!

A perfect home from home. Ideally situated for avid walkers like ourselves. Fully equipped and perfect for families and dogs. A lovely village location with every amenity required for a family holiday. Can't wait to return and explore this lovely area.

Lovely cottage, in a great location, 2 minute walk to all the amenities, but in a very quiet spot. Everywhere was dog friendly. Kielder water is a short drive away, and the walk to Hareshaw Linn was lovely, this starts in the village. It was nice to see all the local shops, butcher, greengrocer, baker, all still on the high street. The Cheviot Hotel was a great pub with nice food. The only slight negative is there is no garden to let the dogs out last thing, but just along the road is a grassy area to take them, so it wasn't a problem. We will certainly be back.
