The Boat House was a themed cottage which is perfect for all age groups. It has bags of character and ideal facilities to have fun, work out or totally relax. It is nicely situated to visit Hastings and other nearby attractions. Furthermore the owners were very welcoming with a lovely hamper and on hand if one had any questions or unforseen mishaps. We cannot 'big up' The Boat House enough and we have already recommended to friends and family and hope to revisit in the nearest future...

This was our second visit to the boathouse. We never usually return to somewhere as there are so many places to visit. But couldn’t resist coming back, we just love the house and all the amenities that are there and Hastings is a lovely place to visit.

Very welcoming, plenty of space inside and outside. The hot tub was a bonus and enjoyed by all.The four main supermarkets were all near by. On arriving the traffic was a concern with the noise but once in the house and in the garden you didn’t hear it unless you were in the front bedroom. We would recommend the boathouse to anybody thinking of visiting East Sussex.

We had a lovely stay at The Boat House. We made great use of the hot tub & beautiful garden. The owner was very helpful & accomodating. The only downside is that the house is situated on a very busy main road. On the Friday evening, there were workmen digging up the road (with loud machinery) until 02.00 am! You could literally feel the house vibrating. It was impossible to sleep. I can only assume that this was due to emergency road repairs rather than a regular occurrence!
