Located on the site of an award-winning farm shop, food hall and small outlet village, The Beauty Shed can be found in the Lancashire village of Samlesbury, on the edge of the beautiful Ribble Valley. As the name suggests, once offering beauty treatments, the lodge has now been completely transformed into calm and tranquil holiday accommodation complete with private hot tub. All on one level, inside you will find a sociable open plan living space with fully functional kitchen; although with an on-site restaurant open 7 days a week, you may not need to use it much! There is also a wine shop and ice cream parlour on-site for you to enjoy. Two comfortable double bedrooms offer direct access to the hot tub area, where you will also find a cute little summerhouse to take shelter in on chillier evenings.

If you can bring yourself to leave the lodge and site, a mere 5-minute drive will take you to the fabulous, Grade I listed Samlesbury Hall, a stunning stately home and restaurant. Hoghton Tower is a local historical visitor attraction worth a visit, and the Wildlife Trust’s Brockholes Nature Reserve can be reached in just 5 minutes, providing 250 acres of natural beauty together with an iconic floating visitor village to explore. The location just off the M6 motorway means easy access to Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool and the Lake District National Park all in under an hour. Finally, the glorious, unspoilt landscapes of the Ribble Valley, including the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are on your doorstep. Beach 24 miles. Shop and restaurant on-site, pub ½ mile.

Lovely cottage. Very quaint decor. Large hot tub an added bonus. The cottage itself is fine, we'll kitted out with everything you need. Shower easy to use. The only thing that let's it down is the location. It was nice to have the farm shop which we used but the surrounding countryside cannot be viewed at all from the enclosed garden, using the hot tub would have been so much nicer with a better vista. But, there are loads of places to eat within a few miles ( the Bluebird Inn within 10 minutes walking distance). Our stay coincided with the two really hot days when the highest temperature ever was recorded. There was only 1 fan so it did get extremely hot in the cottage but I guess this could not be helped as the weather was extreme. We went to Brockholes nature reserve one day which was free entry with just a £5 parking fee. I can recommend the Turbary Owlery where you get up close with the birds and well worth the £10 entrance fee if you are interested in ornithology. So, all in all, we had a pleasant stay

Our second stay here in this lovely cottage. Beautiful setting, near to a farm shop and some excellent country pubs and outstanding places serving the freshest food. The cottage has a secluded garden, summer house and a hot tub which is the real USP here. Christine and John are excellent hosts and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. Thank you.

I went there with my family during the long weekend. Very clean and all the much-needed things were pre-organized and set for our visit. The hot tub was great, my little one enjoyed the most. Blackpool is just half an hr away, there are places to visit locally and are just 15-20mins away from this cottage. I would definitely recommend to others to book this cottage.
