Overall the Beach Hut is very good. It would benefit from either a rotary clothes dryer or a better clothes line. The garden boarders were full of weeds, somewhat neglected. It also proved difficult to contact the owner prior to our arrival.

A surprisingly spacious property, clean and well equipped - and very close to the beach promenade, with almost no passing traffic. The front bedroom is vast with its south facing balcony. Sit and enjoy the view of the sea! The house is a 1960s/70s period piece, which may explain why some find the decoy dated.

Our second time at the Beach Hut. Located in a perfect position, on the doorstep of the town, yet in a peaceful location very near to the seafront. Really enjoyed our stay and would return again.

We've stayed here before so knew what to expect. Little changed since last visit.

Spacious, clean holiday home in best location to beach. The problem of the house is that there is no caretaker who looks after the property on a responsible and regular basis and fixes problems. 1. The first problem we had to solve was that the keysafe was broken and empty. 2. Another problem was the settings of the heating which were absolutely unsuitable for November. 3. A chair was shaky and out of joints. 4. One night a curtain in the bedroom and the top of a bed came down unexpectedly. 5. The caretaker on the list of adresses was no longer in charge of the property. 6. A dustbin was full, we had to improvise to get rid of paper. 7. We stayed for 11 days without towels being changed or offer cleaning the house. We could cope with the ever surprising situation with the help of friendly people.

Perfect location only 100m from the sand, sea and promenade. House is spacious and clean. We would certainly stay here again providing a few things are sorted out. With the owner in Belgium and a cleaner who is only employed to clean, there is no-one to call in cases of emergency other than Cottages or Belgium. Nor is there a house book. Instead there are various instructions scattered around the place. Several small things need immediate attention ie a strip light in the kitchen doesn't work and it seems no-one takes the bins for collection. Ours were full on arrival so by the fourth day the swing bin in the kitchen was full with nowhere to put it. A call to Cottages in the morning produced a phone call from the owner and one bin was emptied for us to use. Once all this has been sorted out The Beach Hut would be a perfect holiday home.

The Beach Hut is out of date in terms of furniture, decs and kitchen and there were a few minor maintenance issues but the location is great (100 yards from the beach and land train station, 1/2 mile from the town) , there is plenty of space and it was spotlessly clean. We would happily go back again.
