The pictures of this cottage do not do it justice. It is warm and welcoming with everything you need to have a fabulous holiday. It is in the middle of nowhere, which was exactly what we were looking for, with some nice walks across fields....but be prepared for the mud! Waking up to see the sun rise from the comfortable bed was amazing, as was star gazing in the garden in the evening. All in all a very romantic place to stay, even for us old married types. It is a trek to the nearest supermarket and I would advise Honiton rather than Chard as the road is slightly better, wider certainly.

Beautiful barn conversion in an idyllic location. The views are amazing onto the surrounding fields with lots of wildlife (including a very inquisitive pheasant who tapped on the door each morning). Lovely to sit outside and have breakfast looking out over the landscape. The cottage itself has everything you need and is immaculate.

From the moment we arrived it was a Wow! The warm welcome we received together with the high quality Barn conversion 'reveal' plus the tranquil setting and stunning Garden, all exceeded our expectations. The Barn is much more luxurious, spacious and quieter than we could have imagined or hoped for - extremely well appointed with every conceivable item for a comfortable stay thought of. Early mornings and evenings do get rather chilly so the having the underfloor heating together with it's generous overlapping time settings meant we never felt cold when we got up or before we lit the Wood burner as Sunset. Fresh Farm Eggs, milk and other essentials plus a generous sized free basket of logs and even fire lighters and matches all ensured a relaxed start to our break. The highly experienced owners are always discretely available next door in their co-located cottage, so on the rare occasion when you do need something it's sorted. Outside the control of the owners but nevertheless important I did feel I had to mark local amenities down to a 6 out of 10 as there's no local within walking distance since the Stockland Pub closed down in recent years. Not a major problem as there are two others within a short driving distance and of course there's always the possibility of pre-ordering a shopping delivery from one of the supermarkets amply dotted around the not-too-distant main towns. Overall a superb location and stay for walking or just totally chilling out in the peace and quiet.
