Response on behalf of the Owner; Since taking the property over late last year we have been upgrading many items. We have a new oven, fridge freezer, bed linen, towels, soft furnishings and blinds to name a few items. We will continue to improve the property in order to ensure our guests have the best experience. The garden furniture is old but functional & is on the list for replacement next summer.

We stayed as a large family group, with x4 over 60's, x6 30-45's and 3 children of 13, 7 and 2. The barn is a great space for this kind of group and we felt the communal areas were even larger than the photos suggest, with a spacious kitchen, two sitting areas and a large table which seats all guests comfortably. The property is well stocked with plenty of cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery, there's also a fair sized fridge freezer. There are lots of board games in the cupboards for guest use too, along with the basketball hoop on the patio and the pool table. The hosts were really communicative and helpful and passed great advise on the local area. The only thing that could be improved is the number of bathrooms, an extra bathroom or separate toilet would be ideal, as currently 2 of the rooms share the same communal bathroom, it's not too much bother but one of them is the largest room (sleeping up to 4 people) and there would be space for another en-suite here perhaps, though the information on bathrooms was clear on the booking review.

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating my dad's birthday....Visually the barn is stunning. I couldn't believe how big it was! The pool table was the centre of attention for most of the weekend...It's a great addition to the kitchen. We had no hot water on our first morning but this was fixed really really quickly. The only let down was the uncomfortable beds....a place as gorgeous as the Barn should have comfortable beds but these are rock solid....that would be the only negative to the whole place and atmosphere. We'd love another visit (and bring mattress toppers with us next time :) )

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Luxury mattress toppers have been ordered for all of the double beds following this feedback.

We had a very enjoyable family holiday at The Barn, which is a very spacious property with lovely views across farmland. The Grandchildren loved the fact that every bedroom had a large t.v. in it and the pool table and basketball net were very well used. The bathrooms were good and the kitchen well equipped. Local shops & supermarket nearby and plenty of places to visit although most of these were outside activities and unfortunately we were not that lucky with the weather
