These four barn conversions are set on a delightful working farm in a wonderful position overlooking the River Torridge, the Iron Bridge, and further down river towards Bideford. The barn conversions offer comfortable accommodation for various size parties and are suitable for a holiday at any time of year.
The farm nestles at the end of a long private driveway and offers total peace and seclusion in the Devon countryside; there are 200 acres of farmland with garden furniture and barbecue, as well as some lovely woodland walks around the farm itself, and the nearby Tarka Trail close to the farm.
Just 2 miles from the historic market town of Bideford with its wealth of popular pubs, shops and restaurants, and a little further afield is Barnstaple with a wide variety of facilities. Just a short drive takes you to Westward Ho! with its 2 miles of golden sandy beach. Other attractions include Dartington Crystal and RHS Rosemoor Gardens. We had Christmas at the Barn. On arrival we got tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The barn was decorated for Christmas, all very nice. We had family coming for Christmas dinner,so needed extra chairs, no problem. The owners are on hand and are very helpful. The chocolates and wine were a very nice surprise. We had a very nice week, and would visit again

We had a week at the cottage which for us was far too remote. We felt unable to go out in the evening because of the narrow farm road with no passing place. During the week at the cottage there was no access to WiFi. In the book it said you are welcome to use it if you can get on but at no point could we access WiFi, we could connect to the router but that’s as far as we could get.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; The lane into the farm is 1 mile long and has 12 passing places, that is roughly 1 passing place every 133 meters. I can’t understand how you could possibly have missed all 12, it’s actually easier in the evenings as you can see headlights coming and pull into one of those 12 places waiting for the car to pass, although there are very few cars in the lane and you are unlucky if you have to stop at all in the week. As for the WiFi, it is a 4g box that is working perfectly, the only problem is if the network has a problem and I’m afraid we have no control over that.

A little piece of Heaven on earth! Just what we were looking for Great accommodation, great area. Only stayed a week but it felt as though had been on a 4 week break!!! We're lucky with the weather only 1 day of rain. Rest of the week on the beach. Malc, myself and Merlin loved it.

Very comfortable, exceptionally well- equipped, spacious accommodation on a well-located working farm which met the needs of our family (3 adults, 1 baby and a dog) perfectly. Easter eggs and a Devon cream tea on our arrival were a lovely touch by the friendly hosts.

A lovely stay although the entrance road very narrow and hilly. Must be able to reverse car as very few passing places. Friendly owners who's barn accommodation is clean and well presented. Great visiting spaniel dog always covered in straw. Would certainly stay again.
