Wonderful week. The cottage was exactly as described . Peaceful , tranquil and remote. Virtually impossible to find fault. Congratulations to all concerned. Very much looking forward to a return visit.

There is a long rough track to the cottage which was manageable during the day but worrying in the dark so we did not go out at night; just off A30 so great for getting about. The cottage had clearly been beautifully designed but now feels a bit shabby and was not quite as clean as I would have expected. We were provided with the wrong code for internet access which would have been a problem for us as the TV had limited channels (no BBC) and we did not go out at night. The 'enclosed' garden was not secure enough for our dog as it had at least two openings. Our two main search requirements are an enclosed garden for our dog and wifi. We loved the local area and had a great holiday but do not feel that the cottage is currently a four star property.

The directions could have been a bit clear when going off road or maybe some sign posts, slightly confusing. The cottage itself needs some TLC. Smells musty and I could also smell dog. Could do with a good all round clean. Very dusty in places and the kitchen bin looked like it had never been cleaned. I moved the bed upstairs closer to the wall so my son wouldn't fall out and the amount of dust under the bed and around the bedroom itself was disgusting. I then attempted to hoover this and the hoover was full and didn't work very well. Upon emptying it, realised the inside bits were in the wrong way. A chap came round at 7.30am on our last day to mow the lawn on a very noisy sit on lawn mower. Not the best wake up call I've had. The BBQ was full of water and the decking could do with a good clean. My son had a shower and the wooden duck board that you stand on collapsed through rot. Contacted the caretaker and by the sounds of it they were already aware. Good job my soon didn't injure himself. All in all we had a good stay but the cottage needs some attention and renovating. Probably wouldn't go back and stay here.

Fantastic rural location with shops 5 minutes away in a car. Very good location for local attractions. Cottage is lovely and the garden amazing for the dog. However, no internet the entire stay, two power cuts, a damp smell in the cottage and the lower oven did not work. All of these points have been made in the visitors book from previous stays, these have not been acted on. For instance, fire alarms had the batteries removed by previous visitors as they were over sensitive and the fire alarms did not work during our stay as a result.
