Our stay at the Barn was very comfortable and there was lots of room inside & out for our 2 young boys to play. The Barn is in a village with little in the way of amenities and it took a while to find the nearest play area at the local village hall at the other end of the village. We didn't try the nearest pub (which has a mini golf course), but did try one in South Lopham which had a great menu (which varies depending on the day of the week) plus good outside area for the kids. Local attractions of Bressington Steam and Banham Zoo went down well with the kids. Other activities are a bit farther afield but we knew this when we booked up out stay. We would re-book this property again probably for a similar time of the year only because the upstairs stays very light due to roof lights in the bedrooms. These have been partially obscured but the rooms were lighter than our kids are used to.

Just spent a week at the Barn with my husband a two children, 3 and 5 and our friends who have a 3yr old and 8 month old. We honestly could not fault this accommodation. Loads of space for the children. The garden is amazing and the children loved watching the horses on the back field. Everything we needed was there. Brilliant stay and can highly recommend.

We enjoyed a fantastic week at The Barn. It’s a beautifully built and presented home with a real wow factor. It is equipped with everything we needed, and the garage to store our bikes with extra fridge freezer was really helpful. We found it very clean and arrival instructions were clear and easy to follow. The beds were very comfortable and baths and showers great. There was plenty of space for the 7 of us to spread out. The local pub has great food and is good value, and not far to Diss for large supermarkets. We wouldn’t hesitate to return, thanks to David and Jansel for a great stay!

Very spacious cottage, with good access and local attractions. Only issue was that the website states the cottage sleeps 8 but there is actually only 7 beds and 2 of these are bunk beds so only really suitable for kids, not a problem for us but worth noting for others looking to hire this cottage.

Village location with a good pub in walking distance. The Barn itself has all the usual facilities one would expect at this price, however some of the basics were not there I.e only one bath towel each, and one hand towel in the downstairs cloakroom- there were no hand towels in the bathroom so if you had a shower and needed to dry your hair you didn’t have a towel. There appeared to be a lot of rules/notices around the property. We were asked to strip the beds where we could see stains on the mattress in the master bedroom - this is not acceptable. We were told explicitly to wear slippers in the property and that they would be provided, we always take slippers as we treat all the cottages we stay in as we would our own home. The slippers that were provided were all used, very scruffy and smelly - please remember to take your own. The door frames to all the rooms upstairs are quite low, I would suggest that the top of the door frames are padded for H&S.

It would be much better if you replace the fridge, get a better oven (hot plates) and provide better kitchen equipment like a decent casserole dish and good tools
